Knauf KA 18 Phonik: a concentrate of performance in a simple partition system, unique on the market

Distributive partition system with single facing, Knauf KA 18 Phonik is suitable for any construction, new or renovation, requiring high sound insulation.

Composed of an 18 mm thick single-skin facing, Knauf KA 18 Phonik includes two 9 mm thick cardboard plasterboards (one KS 9 board with straight edges and one Diamond 9 board with thinned edges) glued together at the factory.

This exclusive solution allows, in a single facing adaptable to a standard upright, to achieve higher performance than a double facing. With a sound reduction index of 53 dB, Knauf KA 18 Phonik is at the same time the best solution to obtain such performances in a simple and lightest cladding on the market.

Very high hardness plate, Knauf KA 18 Phonik has increased resistance to impact and degradation: ideal for areas with high traffic such as schools, hospitals, etc. Its high hardness also allows the installation of equipment such as grab handles, ramps, and other solutions facilitating accessibility and mobility of people.

Improved site organization with Knauf KA 18 Phonik

Equipped with an 18 mm thick single facing system (for 0,90 m wide and 2,50 to 3,00 m high), the Knauf KA 18 Phonik system allows installation on standard uprights, regardless of or the required acoustic requirement. For example, for areas where a performance of 53 dB is required, the partitions will be made with Knauf KA 18 Phonik. If it is requested in a neighboring room or a passage, an insulation of 48 dB, the plate KHD 18/900 will be preferred. All this with a single M62 / 40 upright and therefore identical ground marking throughout the site.
