Waste collection in the city center

A specialist in urban equipment that responds to a real environmental problem, the company BIHR Environnement, a subsidiary of the Bonna Sabla group, offers public and private communities a range of underground containers for sorting

BIHR ENVIRONMENT

Preserving the natural and urban environment

Now essential in the fight to preserve the environment, selective sorting and the recovery of household waste require the installation of new equipment that must meet numerous criteria.

Aware of the ecological issues but also the urban implications of this new equipment, the company BIHR Environnement offers communities underground containers which thus preserve the quality of the surrounding space and limit its clutter.

BIHR underground containers are a simple and modern technical and aesthetic solution.

To meet different tastes, the range is available in 4 drain models: Memphis, Rubens, Orlando, and Miami. These models are available in 3 possible finishes: hammered paint, powder-coated textured paint, and smooth paint; and in 13 different colors.

A pyramid-shaped box for optimal filling

Unique in its pyramidal shape, the mobile steel box allows for optimal filling of the container, eliminating the risk of flat products arching or waste bags getting stuck. This makes emptying easier.

To achieve this optimal functional shape and ensure its manufacture, BIHR Environnement called upon the best specialist, Bammens, to offer a high-quality product. All metal parts are made of 3 to 5 mm thick, dip-galvanized steel.

The mobile part is fitted into a watertight, single-piece concrete tank. This concrete tank is available in 3 sizes to accommodate storage columns of 3, 4 and 5 m3.

Surface water drainage is ensured by a gutter-type angle at platform level. A seal guarantees watertightness between the concrete tank and the metal angle.

At the bottom of the tank, four concrete blocks leave a space reserved with a capacity of 150 liters for the retention of juices between two emptying operations.

Equipped with traditional gripping systems, Kinshofer or ring, the BIHR Environnement range allows simple and rapid emptying, compatible with conventional operating systems.

u            Implementation

Container installation is quick and easy, and can be carried out by a road and works contractor using traditional methods. A team can install up to eight containers per day. Implementation takes place in four stages:

1/ Opening an excavation and creating a sand bed

2/ Laying the concrete casing and assembling the safety floor

3/ Setting up the mobile box

4/ Backfilling using draining materials to ensure the evacuation of surface water.

u             Safety and Regulations

When the box is emptying, a metal platform, Designed to rise automatically thanks to a counterweight system, it blocks the opening of the concrete tank at the same level as the finished floor. It ensures the safety of pedestrians and does not create an obstacle.

This pedestrian platform can support a load of 1 kg. It can be made of non-slip checkered sheet metal or with a reservation for a specific finish (rubber, GPOM, asphalt, paving stones, resin).

In terms of regulations, the BIHR Environnement range of underground containers complies with the requirements of standards NF EN 13071-1 and NF EN 13071-2.
