Theben, manufacturer of time-controlled control devices for lighting and temperature, presents its new TR 644 top2 RC digital timer with annual and astronomical programming. This latest-generation 4-channel device combines flexibility, ease of use, and energy efficiency. The clock provides both time-dependent switching and an astronomical program, based on the sunrise and sunset times of the installation location. The clocks in Theben's TR top2 range are primarily intended for lighting management (shop windows, outdoor public lighting, stadiums, illuminated signs, billboards, decorative lighting, office buildings, monuments, etc.) and for controlling automation systems (school bells, automatic doors or barriers, etc.).

 

SIMPLICITY OF ANNUAL FUNCTIONS AND ASTRONOMICAL SWITCHING
For greater flexibility of use, the new TR 644 top2 RC digital clock from Theben integrates several annual functions, such as automatic changeover to summer and winter time or automatic determination of public holidays (Easter, Whitsun, etc.). In addition to the basic weekly configuration, 14 weekly programs can be selected according to priority levels and date ranges. In addition, various programs are available to adapt the clock's operation to each application: pulse programming, cyclical programming, random programming, etc. To better control consumption and save energy, it is also possible to configure seasonal offsets (holiday periods, for example) and nighttime power cuts.

The TR 644 top2 RC clock has an astronomical switching function. In addition, radio time synchronization via DCF or GPS antenna ensures very high accuracy. Thanks to this astronomical program, the automatic calculation of sunrise and sunset times is ensured throughout the year, anywhere in the world. To take advantage of this function, Theben offers two antennas (DCF and GPS) in addition to the digital clock.


EASY MAINTENANCE

The TR 644 top2 RC timer has integrated counters for calculating operating hours and counting down operating hours, which ensure that maintenance intervals are met. This is a practical advantage for knowing when to replace lamps in street lighting or filters in a programmed air treatment system. An optional local LAN module allows remote access to the program from a PC, an additional advantage for remote maintenance and switching.

AN INTUITIVE AND COMMUNICATIVE CLOCK
The programming interface has been designed to make the operator's job easier: backlit screen, text guidance and buttons on the front, intuitive menus, etc. Configuration can also be carried out on a PC using software. The latter offers the possibility of transferring and duplicating programs via a memory card.

EXPANSION UP TO 8 CHANNELS AND EXTERNAL INPUTS
With the optional EM 4 top2 expansion module, the TR 644 top2 RC digital annual time switch receives 4 additional channels for a total of 8 channels. In addition, the 4 external inputs can be used to connect switches or several pushbuttons.

A SIMPLE, SAFE AND FAST SCREWLESS INSTALLATION
The TR 644 top2 RC clock is equipped with DuoFix spring-loaded plug-in terminals for quick and easy connection. This connection system also reduces installation time and costs.

ZERO CROSSING TECHNOLOGY
Theben's new clock incorporates Theben's Zero Crossing technology. Developed to address the issue of exceeding the rated current, Zero Crossing ensures a current close to zero when the relay contact is activated, thus extending the life of the contacts.
