AFE publishes its guide on lighting

Guide to Interior Lighting in Workplaces - Vision and Ergonomics

"Vision and Ergonomics" is the first issue of the French Lighting Association's new guide to interior lighting in workplaces.
This will be followed by the publication of two files relating to “Lighting Projects” and “Equipment, installations and lighting environment in interior lighting”.
This reference work, written by a group of AFE experts, should enable economic players in the lighting sector to design lighting installations in compliance with the standards, regulations and legal texts in force.
This guide develops best practices and technologies for lighting. Light, thus mastered, is used to serve users and managers to meet ergonomic and health needs, environmental performance, and energy efficiency.

The physiological and psychological mechanisms of vision, well known to lighting designers, are supplemented in this file by recent knowledge of
sensory and neurocognitive systems that interest occupational physicians and ergonomists.
The impact of light on the hormonal and physiological balance of human beings offers new fields to designers of lighting installations,
in order to respond to increasing stress at work, an aging population and the needs of the visually impaired.
The AFE guide is therefore a valuable aid to information and training so that suitable lighting systems ensure health, well-being and
economic performance of man at work.
