The first Alzheimer Village in France chooses EDILIANS tiles
Created at the initiative of the former president of the Landes Departmental Council, the Alzheimer's Village in Dax aims to maintain the reference points of people with the disease as much as possible. To build it, the project management team favored materials typical of the region, such as Aquitaine Poudenx terracotta tiles from EDILIANS.

A reassuring traditional architecture
To create an environment conducive to the well-being of residents suffering from Alzheimer's, this new type of structure is inspired by traditional Landes architecture.
It is thus structured around a bastide, a living and service space, and four districts of four households.
All the buildings are reminiscent of the materials used in regional construction: the cladding of certain dwellings, the wooden frame in Landes pine of the houses and the Bastide, but above all the roofs covered with traditional Canal tiles from EDILIANS.
Aquitaine Poundex: an authentic tile
The Aquitaine Poundex tile, in Paysage color, was a natural choice thanks to its Canal aesthetic and its characteristic curve of the Atlantic coast. In addition, the EDILIANS production plant, located near the construction site, is part of the project's environmental approach. As a result, nearly 12 m² of tiles were installed.
To complete the whole thing, the roofs were protected by the AERO 2 HPV under-roof screen from EDILIANS.
