The Cadiou group presents a preview of a green aluminum fence concept at Equipbaie Kaneva

With the launch of its premium brand KOSTUM just a month ago during its participation in Artibat, the Cadiou group formalized its close ties with the world of haute couture. This time, the Breton manufacturer is "persisting and signing" by unveiling its Kaneva aluminum fence concept at Equipbaie. 

The result of close collaboration between a designer – the Diedre Design firm – and a landscaper from Rennes, Antoine Ruellan, Kaneva is a global concept of modular aluminum fencing that allows you to both demarcate and enclose your space and enhance your vis-à-vis.

Listening to installers and customers

Launching a new concept means first and foremost listening to the market and being constantly on the lookout. To be in the race, and in the leading pack, “We must constantly provide aesthetic, customizable and modular solutions while simplifying the installation work of the installer.”, says Anthony Allot, Marketing and Communications Manager for the Cadiou Group. Kaneva's design was based on a user observation: in many cases, individual houses have relatively small plots of land. If this is the case, the inhabitants find themselves practically facing a metal wall. The Kaneva concept is to sustainably protect the outdoor space, but also to have the possibility of simply planting it to beautify it.

"We did a lot of work upfront to clearly identify the needs and constraints of our installer customers. They're looking for products that are quick to install and competitively priced. They prioritize beautiful, distinctive, and innovative products that will stand out. They're therefore very sensitive to aesthetics and innovation.", Anthony Allot tells us.

Walls, roofs, facades... greening is in vogue, bringing a contemporary and personal aesthetic touch with undeniable advantages. The Kaneva concept combines the mineral clarity of a fence with the vibrant appearance of plants and promotes a tailor-made approach to the choice of plants used.

Kaneva, easy and quick to install

The fence is made up of:

• 90mm x 15mm multi-start aluminum posts placed every 1,5 meters

• 90mm x 15mm aluminum blades which clip onto the Isyli posts using a patented stud system.

The studs are slid into the post groove and are locked by a quick and simple system.

Made entirely to measure, this solution allows you to create fence sets with a completely refined style by hiding the post.

Kaneva also allows you to create a more airy alternating slat fence, inviting planting or the installation of local vegetable gardens and ornamental orchards, and thus creating a real plant and aluminum hedge.

Completely customizable and adaptable, this fence benefits from 3 types of installation: on a plate, on a shoe or by sealing.

Greening is done in two stages:

• a stage of information and choice of plants: simple and easy-to-live-with climbing plants, evergreen deciduous plants such as honeysuckle or jasmine, etc.

• an implementation stage. This planting can be implemented at the discretion of the end customer or the installer. Climbing plants can be planted on the day of installation or later, by 3 parties: the installer, the resident or a landscaper chosen by the customer.

Installation instructions and a plant placement booklet will be provided by Cadiou.
