Kawneer has just developed KALUTHERM, a software program that calculates the energy performance of the brand's joinery products. This tool, designed for construction professionals, is freely downloadable and meets standard and regulatory requirements.

A true decision-making tool for architects, economists, design offices and joinery professionals, KALUTHERM is an exclusive software tool that combines multiple functions, in compliance with normative and regulatory requirements (BBC, RT 2012):

• calculation of the energy performance of each Kawneer joinery (sliding, hidden opening window, visible opening window, entrance door),
• calculation of performance with or without intermediate crosspieces on casement windows,
• obtain a Uw to 2 decimal places (mandatory below 1.0 only),
• calculation of the average Uw, Sw, Tlw per project,
• add images, search or view technical sections by series,
• calculate the energy performance of composite frames,
• create an evolving construction site database.
