In June 2015, Rector and Rehau launched the Equatio® Rehau Quality underfloor heating system, which is integrated directly into the compression slab. Today, both manufacturers are extending this solution to upper floors.

Equatio® heated floor consists of two new solutions specially adapted to intermediate floors:

  • the Rectosten® Formwork interjoist made of high-density polystyrene, which allows for secure installation upstairs,
  • the Box 2 Basic Equatio® heating, consisting of thermal breaks specific to the treatment of peripheral thermal bridges on the upper floor.

This solution is easy to implement, in the same way as Equatio® heating Rehau Quality: the heating modules are positioned on the joists, then the assembly is integrated into the compression slab. To facilitate installation, the heating modules are delivered ready to install with their accessories and installation plan. By reducing the installation steps of the underfloor heating, this system saves time on the entire underfloor/heating station (approximately 3 weeks).

In addition, Equatio® Floor Heating provides a level of insulation suitable for the upper floor, without additional insulation under the screed. Combined with Rehau Quality Equatio® Floor Heating on crawl spaces, it does not require additional heat emitters (radiators, etc.) and provides a single heating system for the entire house.
