Leborgne obtains OHSAS 18001 certification

Following the recent renewal of its ISO 14001 certification for the Arvillard and La Rochette sites in Savoie, the company Leborgne® has obtained OHSAS 18001 certification.

OHSAS 18001 certification is a model for a management system for health and safety at work, in other words for the prevention of occupational risks. Its objective is to provide companies that wish to do so with support for the evaluation and certification of their occupational health and safety management system compatible with the most well-known international management system standards.

OHSAS 18001 certification remains the rarest certification in business. But for Leborgne®, obtaining it had become essential. The company has long been aware of the impact of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses in the construction and public works sector. Therefore, Leborgne® sought to develop tools that address this issue and help reduce certain factors of hardship as defined by the French Labor Code.

Positioning itself as a leader in the user risk prevention market, Leborgne® had to display its credibility and prove that its employees knew what they were talking about.

This has now been achieved with an excellent audit conclusion: zero non-conformities and 3 strong points!

This new certification proves that the health and safety approach is deeply rooted in the company's values, and has been for a very long time.

This achievement is a result that all employees at the company's Savoie sites can be proud of, as this certification is theirs to achieve: it is, in fact, their attitudes at work, their working habits, their responses to the auditor's questions that led them, without hesitation, to certify this health and safety management system.

All that remains for Leborgne® is to prepare for the Grand Slam and obtain ISO 9001 certification, which is the objective for 2016.
