It took 3 full days and 5 people to clean the vaults, walls, and stained-glass windows, as cleaning a historic monument like the Thyez church is a delicate undertaking. Specializing in cleaning this type of building, Augias rose to the challenge and found solutions to clean while respecting the stone.

Augias: innovative services for the maintenance of historic monuments

As the leading franchise network in the cleaning sector, Augias offers innovative cleaning services in a wide range of areas, even the most complex. In this context, it has recently completed the dusting of the Thyez church, one of the main historical monuments in Haute-Savoie.

A key player in the cleaning sector, Augias has over ten years of experience in the cleaning field and possesses specific expertise in the preservation of historic monuments. It specializes in dusting the old and fragile materials that form the framework of these buildings.
Since maintaining old stone requires real skills, Augias applies unique techniques that ensure effective cleaning while preserving the integrity of the materials.

DUSTING OFF THE CHURCH OF THYEZ
As an illustration of this expertise, Augias has just completed the dusting of the prestigious church of Thyez, in Haute-Savoie, where the painting had already been restored in 2000.

Cleaning the high points of these buildings (ceiling, vault, stained glass windows, etc.) is one of the major difficulties in terms of maintenance, as Dominique Allimann, Augias franchisee from Arenthon (74) in charge of this mission, points out:
"The work carried out on the ceilings, vaults, walls and stained-glass windows required three days of work and five people, as the approach was so meticulous. To be able to work in the best possible conditions, we used mobile scaffolding and a ten-meter self-propelled cradle. These devices allow us to work efficiently and safely on the nave and the side aisles. For the choir, the ambulatory and the side of the transept, we used the mobile scaffolding, because steps prevented us from accessing these parts with the self-propelled cradle."
"Thanks to the specific processes that we can implement in all circumstances, we are able to work on very complex projects in the field of historic monuments."
