The French tour of the Non-Collective Sanitation Conference (NCS) continues! Nice will host this event on October 6 and 7, attracting more and more participants every year. There were more than 1.500 at the last edition in Evreux (Eure) in September 2009, where the highly anticipated ministerial decrees relating to NCS were exclusively unveiled. The 7th edition, co-organized by IDEAL, the Nice Côte d'Azur Urban Community, the Rhône Méditerranée Corse Water Agency, and the IFAA1, will allow participants to meet the fifty or so exhibitors present and attend nearly 20 conferences.

A regulatory development governing the ANC

5 million ANC installations treating domestic water are listed in France.

The provisions introduced by LEMA2 led the State to adapt the 1996 regulatory texts, resulting in the publication of three ministerial decrees in September 3. Thus, the procedures for carrying out the control mission, the technical requirements and the approval procedures for persons carrying out emptying and handling the transport and disposal of materials extracted from ANC installations are set out in this new regulatory system. While the publication of these three decrees answers many questions, it raises new ones.

The ANC Conference program will therefore devote considerable space to answering these questions and will also address current regulatory developments. The ANC's National Charter, also highly anticipated, could be presented on this occasion by the MEEDDM3 and the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The ANC Conference: an event not to be missed!

Launched in 2001, this event has enjoyed growing success with each edition.

Organized over 2 days, the information will be covered on three levels:

- a general level in plenary sessions where the major strategic and cross-cutting themes are addressed,

- a practical level through workshops organized according to two thematic courses: “Role and support of SPANC” and “Sectors” (Spreading bed, sand filter, etc.) where the experiences of the communities will be presented in particular,

- and a technical and commercial level through forums where new processes and products will be presented... An exhibition space of 2215 m² will also allow participants to

meet the professionals present.
