The global digital twin market grew significantly in 2020 to reach $3,1 billion in 2020 and is now expected to grow to $48,2 billion annually by 2026, at a CAGR of 58%, according to a recent report by Markets & Markets.
Cityzenith was consistently featured in 2020 in market reports and media coverage as one of the top-rated companies in the digital twin market alongside Siemens and Philips. Cityzenith was named a top ten digital twin provider by Manufacturing Technology Insights.
This exhibition saw the company release a critically acclaimed international white paper that highlighted the impact of COVID and our relationship with the built environment. The launch of Cityzenith’s market-leading Digital Twin software, SmartWorldPro2, also secured major project contracts, including Orlando Sports + Entertainment DevCo, a major US government agency, and a major US energy provider who are using their technology to build new smart, energy-efficient cities in the state of New Mexico.
In October, the company launched its 'Clean Cities - Clean Future' initiative, including a commitment to donate its Digital Twin technology to help key cities around the world reduce pollution and move towards carbon neutrality. The initiative was complemented by a major Cityzenith television campaign airing nationwide in the US on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC and other major networks.
Michael Jansen, CEO of Cityzenith, said at the time: “The launch of this ‘Clean Cities – Clean Future’ initiative marks a significant milestone for us and our city-wide, networked, shareable Digital Twin deployments. Digital twins were first developed to aggregate, analyze, and visualize highly complex information in manufacturing plants and construction sites, but they have evolved to become a powerful aid to urban climate resilience and carbon reduction.”
In the next phase of this initiative, Cityzenith plans to host its first international forum 'Clean Cities - A Clean Future' in 2021, welcoming key leaders in urban technology and sustainability to explore the use of digital twins to help commercial building owners in their city achieve zero carbon.
The launch of the company's online investment platform in early December was another major success, raising over $820 in less than two weeks, including a significant strategic investment from NeuerEnergy, an energy services company specializing in building decarbonization.
Cityzenith's 2021 target is to secure $15 million of investment by the completion of its Regulatory A+ capital raise and, starting in February, aims to open the investment opportunity to sophisticated accredited investors such as family offices, institutional investors and strategic investors.
The company's world-class team doubled in size in 2020, with global headquarters in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, and India, and sales representation spanning Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
And 2021 is set to be a pivotal year for Cityzenith, starting with the announcements of its largest contract to date in the first quarter as well as new international sales and distribution partnerships.
