The latest “Pressgun 6 Plus” and “Pressgun Picco 6 Plus”, as well as the “Pressgun 6” and “Pressgun Picco 6”, will be introduced to the market from April 2021.

Daily work made easier

On the construction site, the "Pressgun 6 Plus" and "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" pressing machines are distinguished by their ease of use. These perfectly balanced devices feature precise LED lighting for better visibility of the work area. Thanks to its compact dimensions and the rotating grip of its jaws, the Viega "Pressgun" can be used in all difficult pressing situations, even in confined spaces. Integrated attachment points for carrying or balancing straps ensure ergonomic handling of the pressing machines. 

Better battery life

Viega has worked on the autonomy of its machines and has notably increased the battery capacity by 25% without increasing their size. The energy-efficient operating mode of the "Pressgun 6 Plus" increases the number of presses by 35%. Similarly, the new 12-volt battery system of the "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" has allowed a significant reduction in its weight and size. Each press takes approximately four seconds, a record time that further reduces installation time.

A screen to facilitate maintenance

The operating status of the intelligent pressing machines is immediately visible on the color LED display of each machine. The maintenance interval for the "Pressgun 6 Plus" and "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" has been set at 40 pressings or four years depending on use. On the display and the "Viega Tool Services Lite" app, an indicator signals the date of the next maintenance. After 000 pressings, the device automatically locks into safety shutdown. 

Powerful and easy to use

With a crimping force of 32 kN, the "Pressgun 6 Plus" is designed for metal fitting systems from 12 to 108 millimeters, for "Megapress" steel fittings from 3/8 to 2 inches and for larger nominal diameters up to four inches in combination with the "Pressgun-Press Booster". For multi-layer pipe systems, dimensions from 12 to 63 millimeters can be pressed.

Weighing only 1,6 kg, the compact "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" pressing machine is barely larger than a cordless drill. It has a pressing force of 24 kN, suitable for metal fittings from 12 to 35 millimeters, "Megapress" steel fittings from 3/8 to 3/4 inch and multi-layer pipe systems from 12 to 40 millimeters. 

Intelligent control of crimping machines

Smart functions, integrated as standard, provide additional support on the construction site. The Viega "Pressgun 6 Plus" and "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" are connected via Bluetooth to the "Viega-Tool-Services Lite" app on a smartphone. Professionals can access information such as the maintenance interval, the remaining battery charge, or the number of presses performed. 

The "Pressgun 6 Plus" and "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" crimping machines are factory-set to "AutoCycle" mode, which reliably crimps fittings in a single pass. In "SmartCycle" mode, the "Pressgun 6 Plus" automatically stops the process before it builds up the necessary crimping force. In "SmartCycle" mode, the "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" can manually stop the crimping process that has already started. These two functions allow for the inspection and positioning of the fittings and the jaw. 

The smart functions of the "Pressgun 6 Plus" and "Pressgun Picco 6 Plus" are part of the brand new "Viega Tool Services Lite" app, which enables comprehensive digital tool management. 

Analog alternatives

In the "Pressgun" family, Viega also offers the completely redeveloped "Pressgun 6" and "Pressgun Picco 6" models, which are equipped with the new 18-volt battery system. These versions without intelligent functions are not only robust, but also easy to handle thanks to their slimmer housing. The batteries of the "Pressgun 6" and "Pressgun Picco 6" have around 25 percent more capacity: more pressing operations without recharging. The 270-degree rotating jaw grip also makes work easier.
