For craftsmen who want tools that combine efficiency and ease of use, Bosch is launching a new generation of professional 18-volt cordless connected angle grinders, unique on the market, with the GWS 18V-125 SC Professional and GWS 18V-125 PSC Professional.
Thanks to an integrated Bluetooth module and associated with the “MyTools” function of the Bosch Toolbox application, professionals communicate with the angle grinder via their smartphone. They can personalize the tool, configure it individually, receive, directly on their smartphone, information on the status of the machine as well as troubleshooting tips, for example when it turns off in the event of overheating.
In addition, the new GWS 18V-125 SC Professional and PSC Professional angle grinders feature a control screen for the first time, which allows users to view the status of the tool at any time.
Angle grinders under control
The Bosch GWS 18V-125 SC and PSC Professional have a control display which informs the user about the battery charge level, possible overheating, etc. For optimal results, it allows for a speed selection, with three levels, which can be easily adjusted according to the material to be worked and the accessories used, with the simple press of a button. Practical, the grinders also have LED lighting to facilitate work in dark areas.
EC motor and ProCORE battery for more power and autonomy
The GWS 18V-125 SC and PSC Professional offer up to 35% more power and up to 100% more range compared to previous 18 Volt models with 5,0 Ah battery.This performance is due to the brushless EC motor and the new high-density ProCORE18V 7.0 Ah Professional battery.
Combined, they give the tool a power comparable to that of a 1000 W device running on mains power. Energy-intensive applications such as long cutting or grinding jobs therefore become possible.
Enduring, the ProCORE18V 7.0 Ah battery offers up to 90% longer usage time compared to a standard 6,0 Ah battery.
Its latest technology components, larger, laser-welded power rails and cells, ensure better energy transfer. The current delivered is higher, for longer, and the charging speed is faster.
With ProCORE technology, the battery is lighter and 30% more compact than similar batteries, with equal power. Finally, it benefits from better longevity and longer autonomy thanks to the new CoolPack 2.0 ProCORE18V technology.
The ProCORE18V battery incorporates Bosch's "Flexible Power System" concept: it is 100% compatible with all old and new Bosch 18 Volt battery systems.
More ergonomic and safer
With a circumference of 156 mm and 186 mm respectively, and a weight of 2,8 kg (EPTA), the GWS 18V-125 SC and PSC Professional offer good grip and allow effortless work.
With optimal safety for the user, they are the first angle grinders on the market to be equipped with the “Drop Control” function which stops the tool's motor when it accidentally falls.
They also have numerous protective equipment: the “Kick Back Control”, an integrated sensor which detects any blockage of the tool (jammed disc for example), and stops the motor immediately, a Vibration Control handle, anti- “KickBack Stop” recoil, soft start and an anti-restart system. The GWS 18V-125 PSC also combines a non-blocking switch.
