The State launches a call for projects to improve electricity networks

This call for projects, led by ADEME, aims to respond to European directives, including 3 objectives by 2020 are :

- A 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions

- 20% increase in the energy efficiency of the economy

- 20% growth in the share of renewable energy used in the electricity network.

Faced with these challenges, electrical networks must evolve in their architecture and their functionalities to become intelligent electrical networks. Projects will be funded if they meet some or all of the following conditions:

- Integrate the share of renewable energies into the network

- Manage electricity demand with a view to improving the energy efficiency of uses

- Anticipate developments such as the emergence of positive energy buildings or electric vehicles

- Implement new economic models that promote interaction between energy players and sectors such as telecommunications.

The files must be submitted before the 4 October 2011, for a first phase of financing which will focus on projects aimed at developing new equipment or services.
