Printing messages on textiles: a sustainable and innovative solution
"L'agence de fab" is innovating by offering a new communication method, resolutely focused on sustainable development: textile printing. Called "Textile Communicant," this solution applies equally to commercial, institutional, and event communication media, as well as to decoration and fashion.

Communicating Textile®: a new source of inspiration
"l'agence de fab" innovates and launches Textile Communicant®, the ideal support for a qualitative and original printing technology, which offers the advantage of achieving objective criteria of sustainable development.
Specializing in the production of digital brand images, in medium and large format, high definition, "l'agence de fab" is launching a new technology for printing banners, kakemonos, panels, POS and ILV...
Textile Communicant® combines large-format, high-definition sublimation printing and offers essential advantages:
• Exceptional quality of visual reproduction
• The multitude of printable textiles opens up wide fields of application (stretchy, diffusing, wrinkle-free, microfiber fabric, etc.)
• Textile supports are recyclable*
• Water-based inks replace solvent-based inks
• The weight of the materials is divided by 3: a Textile Communicant® tarpaulin weighs 110 to 250 g compared to 550 to 650 g for a “traditional” tarpaulin.
A different approach to signage
Communicating Textile® meets all communication needs and adapts to a variety of situations, when it doesn't invent new ones: security terminals, counters, spider stands, light boxes, stretched frames, banners, kakemonos, image walls, tablecloths, event carpets, window decoration and obscuration... the only limit is your imagination.
Textile Communicant® uses sublimation, a two-step digital printing technology:
• First: printing the patterns on transfer paper
• Second: 180° heat transfer on a calender.
Digital printing of Textile Communicant® allows for small and medium-sized series, but is also suitable for individual work.
This technology was previously used in small format for printing T-shirts; and even if it is not new, the technology applied to Textile Communicant® constitutes a real innovation due to the field of applications it opens up.
Communicating Textile® represents an alternative to existing solutions:
• Stretch a textile over a wooden or aluminum frame to replace a panel
• Use a textile instead of a tarpaulin or a kakemono or even a paper poster
• Use a diffusing fabric instead of a diffusing plexiglass for light boxes
But it is also a way to approach innovative solutions:
• Use of a stretch fabric for covering security gates at store entrances, furniture, foam volumes, etc.
• Application of a textile adhesive to enhance a surface
• Event carpet for product launches, showrooms, stands, etc.
• Window display: decoration and concealment of window display by creating an image wall installed in a few minutes
*REC TEX: the second-life textile solution developed by the "fabrication agency." A responsible approach: less waste, more social employment.
Applications in all directions
Textile Communicant® finds its place in a large number of cases, from institutional and event communication (banners, posters, kakemonos, spider stands, etc.) to the decoration of points of sale (window dressing, light boxes, wall frames, partitioning, dressing of security gates, curtains for fitting rooms, etc.) through the world of textiles (clothing, bags, etc.) or even home decoration.
Very good reasons to choose Textile Communicant®
• High definition: this is the advantage of sublimation technology. Indeed, at 180° the material opens its fibers, the ink is therefore trapped in the fiber as soon as the temperature drops below 180°.
This avoids the blotting effect of the projected ink drop.
• The material effect: Textile Communicant® offers a wide range of shiny, matte, satin, openwork, opaque, stretchy, veil, flag, openwork grid, spinnaker canvas, shower curtain, painter's canvas, etc.
• The Textile Communicant® is machine washable (try washing a tarpaulin or a paper poster!)
• Large format: up to 2,50 meters
• The reduced weight of the materials used quickly becomes an advantage for transport and hanging.
• The printing media offered: in fact, Textile Communicant® allows the use of a multitude of media.
Founded 10 years ago by Jacques Setbon, a communications and signage professional, "l'agence de fab" is a 17-person SME that offers customized solutions for commercial or institutional communications, whether temporary or permanent, on adhesive, flexible or rigid, and portable media. "l'agence de fab" handles design, mockups, manufacturing, and production, including on-site installation, while applying an eco-design philosophy.

It's good for the planet
The development of Textile Communicant® by the "fab agency" was carried out as part of a voluntary approach to reducing the impact of its production on the environment.
This awareness of individual and collective responsibility in terms of environmental preservation has led the "fab agency" to re-examine waste management and transformation, to optimize resources, then to make better use of energy, and finally to completely rethink supplies and transport.
This is how the recycling of paper and cardboard waste, as well as PVC tarpaulins, was established. For these, it involves participating in a second-life program that consists of: collection, grinding, dissociation, separation of fibers, creation of a new fiber, etc.
Building on its commitments, the "fab agency" carried out a carbon audit* with ADEME and obtained the Imprim'Vert® label.
"l'agence de fab" has implemented an ISO 14001 certification process.
Recognized by all Graphic Industries, the Imprim'Vert® brand reflects, on the part of a strong national network of numerous referents, the common desire to reduce the environmental impacts linked to printing activities and a commitment to results guaranteed by a single national specification and by regulations for the use of the brand.
Furthermore, this remarkable approach to environmental preservation is carried out in association with the company "Le geste environnement" and the image network supervised by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
* The carbon footprint is an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions; it determines the environmental impact of the activity.
The carbon footprint makes it possible to understand, measure and act on greenhouse gas emissions in order to limit them and monitor this reduction with
high-performance indicators.
It is a way to save resources because emitting less means consuming less and therefore spending less.
It is a factor of innovation for the search for alternative solutions and to stand out from the competition.
