Buitex natural insulation certified by CSTB

Already ACERMI certified since 2009, Isonat+, Buitex's plant-based insulation, is now the first to obtain a Technical Opinion from the CSTB. This recognizes its qualities in terms of compliance with French legislation in this area, performance objectives, and durability following a test carried out for the insulation of a wall and a ceiling.

Isonat+ becomes THE reference with the obtaining of a Technical Opinion from the CSTB!

Following its ACERMI certification last November, Isonat+ has just obtained a Technical Approval (Atec) from the CSTB*! It is the first wood-fiber plant-based insulation product to achieve this qualification. Issued by a group of experts, this approval takes into account French regulatory requirements, performance objectives (RT) and durability resulting from proper implementation. This approval serves as a quality indicator and a guarantee for both professionals and individuals.

CSTB* technical advice, a technical key
The CSTB's role is to promote sustainable construction safety and quality through its technical opinions. Issued by a group of expert professionals, the technical opinion is THE means recognized by all market players to establish the level of confidence essential to the smooth running of the various phases of construction. The technical opinion obtained by Buitex for Isonat+ was issued for a wall and roof installation.

Tax benefits for energy savings
Since January 1, 2005, assistance to individuals regarding thermal insulation has taken the form of a tax credit. These tax incentives are awarded on the condition that products benefit from a technical opinion. Furthermore, this opinion is necessary for the certification of a BBC (Bâtiment) construction.
Low Consumption) by certification bodies (Effinergie, Minergie, etc.).

Recognition by insurance companies
For non-traditional products, only "processes which have a valid favorable Technical Opinion" are recognized by the C2P Commission (Product Prevention Commission), a commission managed by the Construction Quality Agency.

Compliance for timber frame construction
The technical opinion issued to Isonat+ brings the insulation into compliance with DTU 31-2, the official standard governing the construction of timber-framed buildings.

Opening to public markets
Public buildings are highly regulated, and the choice of products used is very strict. The technical opinion places Isonat+ on par with traditional insulation materials usually prescribed and used in this type of project.

A commitment to quality and respect for the environment
Last December, Buitex announced its involvement in ASIV (Association Syndicale des Industriels de l'Isolation Végétale), an organization committed to "promoting plant insulation by relying on the Technical Opinion procedure, thus validating their suitability for use, and on ACERMI certification (or equivalent), thus guaranteeing the announced performance."

This latest achievement, for Isonat+, marks a new step in the approach initiated by Buitex, to provide insulation made from plant or recycled materials, which is high-quality, innovative and environmentally friendly.

ACERMI, a guarantee of precise insulation performance
Awarded by an independent certification body, this certification guarantees that the advertised performance is accurate. Buitex is thus committed to maintaining its production quality over time in the design of its product. Since tax credits are awarded according to a defined performance scale, the use of ACERMI-certified insulation is a condition for obtaining them.

Wood and hemp: natural materials, combined to deliver performance!
When you add two plant fibers that have already proven their worth in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation, you inevitably get a product that is even more efficient...

Isonat+ delivers on all fronts! Thermal insulation for summer and winter
Thermal insulation issues are crucial for all seasons! In winter, limit heat transfer from the inside to the outside and, in summer, limit the passage of heat to the inside... To meet these requirements, Isonat+ has some powerful arguments: thermal conductivity (lambda)
of 0,038 W/mK and a phase shift coefficient of 10 h.

95% of noise is absorbed
Record-breaking sound absorption, made possible by the combination of wood, which dampens waves, with hemp, which reduces reverberation. Indeed, while the former has long been known to music lovers for its ability to resonate, it also has the particularity of absorbing waves.

Durability and ease of installation
Isonat+ does not settle, even after several years. Indeed, its special design makes the panels very homogeneous and gives them a strong
mechanical resistance. Furthermore, the installation of Isonat+ is comfortable for the installer: easy to transport and handle, quick and safe to install.

Hygro-regulation for a healthy home
Hemp has the ability to absorb ambient moisture and gradually release it. This protects the home from humidity and creates a healthier atmosphere.

Six versions to suit all uses
Isonat+ is available in different versions, to suit all uses. Two densities are available, 55 and 45 kg/m3, and 3 widths.
different, 37, 57 and 60 cm.
The thickness can vary between 40 and 200 mm depending on the version.

A French insulator, a “clean” design
Buitex is committed to reducing its energy expenditure during the development of its products. Manufacturing is carried out entirely in Cours-la-Ville in the Rhône region. The wood is sourced from remnants of the Rhône-Alpes forests; this repurposing contributes to the maintenance and renewal of forests. The hemp comes from French plantations.

Isonat, a complete range of innovative eco-insulators
Isonat+ is at the heart of the already very wide range of insulation for buildings. The particularity of all these products lies in the variety of materials that they are made of.
We find: all hemp (Isonat Chanvre), all wood (Fiberwood), hemp and cotton (Isonat Végétal under Technical Advice from the CSTB), cellulose wadding (Panels: Isonat Celflex and bulk: Isonat Cel-fibres)... A variety of products that allows a suitable response to each insulation problem (roof, attic, walls, floors and floors).

Buitex, eco-processor of plant or recycled fibers
The company, based in Cours-la-Ville since 1898, is now headed by Jean-Pierre Buisson (4th generation). Buitex's philosophy is to use plant-based or recycled fibers to design certified, healthy, high-performance insulating technical solutions that meet the requirements of HQE (High Environmental Quality) approaches. Thanks to the support of its Research and Development department, Buitex has already designed a number of products for the construction, bedding, automotive, and horticulture sectors.
