This incursion into the production workshops is part of the “Training Outside the Walls” program.

On May 24, 30 architects, members of the Compagnie des Architectes de Copropriété, visited the Lorillard Group's production site in Chartres. The purpose of this meeting was to introduce them to the joinery manufacturing process through a tour of the three PVC, Wood, and Aluminum workshops.

This visit to the production workshops, which is part of the "Training Outside the Walls" organized by the Compagnie des Architectes, was followed in the afternoon by a visit to the Ateliers Loire, which has been creating and restoring stained glass windows for the entire world since 1946.

This association of architects, created in 1996, and which brings together around a hundred independent architectural firms specializing in the field of co-ownership or existing heritage, shares with Lorenove Grands-Comptes a rational approach to construction: the same creative requirement for construction/design in accordance with the rules of the art.

Lorenove Grands-Comptes has already collaborated with around fifteen architects who are members of the Company, on a wide variety of projects.
These construction sites, specific to various condominium buildings, are located primarily in Paris and the Île-de-France region. The varied typologies of these buildings, with their diverse sizes and architectural styles, require specific expertise and skills.

An architect specializing in the Haussmann style will have to respond to technical constraints that are different from those faced by an architect who is an expert in the renovation of buildings from the 70s. In the latter example, architects must (in particular) resolve problems of reducing thermal bridges, with a view to improving the energy performance of the building (by acting on the facade, the joinery, the roof, the ventilation, etc.).
These comprehensive energy renovation projects for buildings comprising co-ownerships are part of an environmental perspective of reducing energy consumption with a triple benefit: lower bills, greater comfort, and an increase in the heritage value of the building.

In this support and prescription mission, Lorenove Grands-Comptes collaborates in the preparation of technical files and budgets, and meets architects at trade fairs dedicated to co-ownership, or during professional events: forums, etc.

The organization of this visit is therefore a new opportunity for architects to discover and handle the joinery exhibited in the Lorillard Atrium; in particular, the latest ranges launched: Khélys, in aluminum, and Lomnia, in HPC Composite.
It also provides an opportunity to better assimilate the different manufacturing processes depending on
ranges of materials.

The visit to the 3 workshops and their particularities also made it possible to discuss several specific needs of co-ownerships, as well as practical cases experienced by the architects, specific to respecting the harmony of the facades, the performance of the products and government aid.
It is with this in mind that the “Hors Les Murs” training course was designed, to enable architects to come and train in various techniques.
Several times a year, they meet for training days which can take the form of workshop visits (as was the case on May 24 at Lorillard) and/or cultural visits.
related to architecture.

Arnaud VINCENT, President of the Company, testifies: “ As part of the Off-site Training regularly organized by the Company, we enjoyed a warm welcome in Chartres this year. During the day, we followed a program with multiple aspects—industrial, technical, cultural, and heritage—perfectly aligned with our desire to enrich our daily professional practice on the buildings we strive to enhance and redevelop. Thank you to the Lorenove Grands-Comptes team and Ateliers Loire for opening their doors so wide. »

For its part, Lorenove Grands-Comptes has reaffirmed its proximity as a privileged contact for architectural firms and technical design offices, within the framework of the overall energy renovation of the facades of co-ownerships or the proposal of global services.
