Mr. Jean-Claude Carlin, new CEO of Knauf Insulation

Mr. Jean-Claude Carlin has been appointed CEO of Knauf Insulation, effective February 1, 2017. He succeeds Mr. Thies Knauf. His new position is based at Knauf Insulation's new global headquarters in Visé, Belgium.

A French national, Mr. Carlin holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. After approximately 20 years at Timken, a global leader in the manufacture of bearings and mechanical transmission products, he joined Knauf Industries in 2008, where he became Group CEO in 2009.

At the same time, Knauf Insulation announced the creation of an Executive Committee that will define and implement the Group's strategy and manage its international operations. Mr. Carlin will be joined by Mr. David Ducarme, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy CEO, and Mr. Jens Nilsson, Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
