In Marbella, a contemporary villa with complete transparency thanks to KAWNEER aluminum joinery
Located between the sea and the mountains, in the Alto de los Monteros district of Marbella (Spain), this 400 m² villa was completed in three and a half months by the architectural firm Yeregui Arquitectos. For this project, the owners wanted a house that was contemporary, open to the outdoors, and blended into its surroundings, on a sloping plot. The architects met this challenge thanks to KAWNEER joinery, which created transparent spaces with exceptional views.
The house is built on two levels and includes an accessible roof terrace. The upper level contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a toilet, a kitchen, and a spacious living-dining room opening onto a covered terrace and a swimming pool that extends to the lower level with a waterfall. The basement contains two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, a gym, a storeroom, and a garage.
To create open, bright, and airy spaces, the architects completely decompartmentalized the interior and created large openings to the exterior. They chose KAWNEER joinery for its versatility, integration capacity, and performance. There is a large KASTING RT 100 sliding window in the upper-level living room, KASTING sliding windows and sliding doors in the bedrooms and kitchen, KASSIOPEE hidden-sash and KALORY visible-sash windows in the living room, dressing rooms, and bathrooms, a KANADA entrance door in the living room, and a 1202 curtain wall that forms a transparent cube opening onto the roof terrace.
All the woodwork was finished in KAWNEER's grained brown (Textural color chart). It blends perfectly with the Andalusian exterior and the ethnic and colonial-inspired decor created by interior designer Nezha Kanouni.
