Viega's Multiplex Trio E, a breakthrough in bathtub fittings

The Multiplex Trio E4 embodies the new intelligence in the bathroom. This innovative new version completes Viega's family of electronically controlled bathtub faucets.

It stands out with its high-end glossy black touchscreen display, which houses all control functions and individual presets that can be stored. This display deliberately incorporates familiar elements from the world of electronic communication to provide intuitive access to the digital world of the bathroom.

This impeccable comfort and attractive design are two of the characteristics of a product already awarded the highly coveted “Design Plus powered by ISH” label.

Comfort in the bathroom is also the motto of the new Multiplex Trio E4. With this new product, the temperature and water level can be set separately, saved using a memory function and reused at any time. The Multiplex Trio E4, however, goes even further with its touchscreen.

A new aesthetic with familiar functions

The touchscreen's control panel only lights up when you place your finger near it. When idle, it appears as a stylish, glossy black element.

Created by the Darmstadt design studio Artefakt Industriekultur, this touchscreen replaces mechanical components with buttons and sliders. The buttons conceal obvious and intuitive functions, such as selecting the manual shower or turning the water outlet on and off. The linear slider, meanwhile, adjusts the water flow, while the annular slider ensures continuous temperature control.

The patented optoelectronic technology behind the interface easily guides the user.

Like all other products in the family, the Multiplex Trio E4 allows you to fully enjoy your bathtub, without the hassle of mixing water, without the risk of overflow, and without adjusting the water temperature. All user-defined presets can be stored in the form of four presets that can be reused at any time.

The materials

Viega uses a single-pane, printed safety glass for the black touchscreen. The housing is completely waterproof. The choice of materials and the virtually seamless surfaces make cleaning considerably easier.

This version of the Multiplex Trio E family can also be installed on the bathtub rim, on the wall or in combination. It can also be combined with all electric fillers, wastes and overflows from the Multiplex and Rotaplex series.
