New - HBS-200® Rubber Tix Griffon

An expert in assembly, bonding and sealing systems dedicated to professionals, Griffon is expanding its HBS-200® range by launching a universal, high-viscosity, water- and air-resistant protective coating: HBS-200® Rubber Tix.

One of the main advantages of this new protective and waterproofing coating is its high viscosity, which allows for faster layering. This makes vertical applications much easier. 100% water-resistant, air-tight, and environmentally friendly (solvent-free and VOC-free), HBS-200® Rubber Tix Griffon provides waterproofing and protection for most materials. It can be applied indoors and outdoors, on floors, walls, partitions, building elements, etc. It is also particularly effective as a waterproof layer under tiles (bathrooms, swimming pools, balconies, terraces, etc.).

To speed up the drying process of the top layer of HBS-200® Rubber Tix and complete all waterproofing and airtightness projects, even in rainy conditions, Griffon also offers the HBS-200® Accelerator.

Benefiting from the latest Griffon technical advances, HBS-200® Rubber Tix is characterized by high usage qualities that will facilitate the waterproofing of all types of walls and surfaces, whether vertical or horizontal.

Versatile: The new Griffon coating is suitable for multiple applications, both outdoors and indoors (balconies, roofs, cellars, etc.). It is ideal for waterproofing and total protection of floors, partitions, walls, joints, expansion joints, door or window frames, connections, cracks, passages and construction elements, etc. It also allows you to create a waterproof layer under tiles in humid environments such as bathrooms, swimming pools, balconies and terraces. HBS-200® Rubber Tix can be applied to concrete, metal, stone, wood, bitumen, zinc, PVC and EPDM.

Ready to apply: Griffon protective coating is ready to use (+/- 2,7 l/m2 for a final thickness of 2 mm). It is applied directly to the surface with a brush, roller or trowel and can be covered with paint. Its quick and easy application (setting time 30 min, resistant to light rain after 4 hours, completely water resistant after 24 hours) makes it a competitive construction site solution.

Environmentally friendly: Free of solvents and VOCs, HBS-200® Tix Griffon Rubber contributes to indoor air quality (A+ and EMICODE labels).

Tested and certified: The quality of Griffon plaster has been tested in accordance with European standards EN 1026 (air permeability of windows and doors), EN 1027 (watertightness of windows and door sets) and EN 12114 (air permeability of building components or walls). In addition, HBS-200® Rubber Tix has three CE certificates for different applications, such as waterproofing under tiles and protecting concrete structures for greater durability.
Resistant to weathering, UV rays, salts and chemicals, HBS-200® Rubber Tix Griffon universal protective coating is available in 1, 5 or 16 litre buckets.

To significantly speed up drying times, Griffon is also launching the HBS-200® Accelerator. When applied, a skin forms after just 2 minutes. Once HBS-200® Accelerator is applied, HBS-200® coatings can withstand light rain after 5 minutes and resist heavy rain after 10 minutes. The HBS-200® Accelerator thus gives professionals the ability to meet deadlines when precipitation is expected.
