NEW: ONDUCLAIR

The first flat polycarbonate sheet made in France

Onduline, a manufacturer of roofing, facade, waterproofing, and structural work solutions, has been designing various systems for professionals and individuals for over 70 years. Drawing on its expertise, the company has diversified to offer practical, easy-to-use, and essential products for lightweight outdoor construction (greenhouses, garden sheds, carports, etc.) and interior design.

In interior design, the use of transparent partitions is becoming increasingly common. In a home, it responds to a growing trend that allows the separation of different living spaces without blocking the passage of light, between a living room and a kitchen for example.

In a professional setting, transparent partitions can be used to separate the space between two desks without blocking the visual field. They are therefore popular in open-plan offices.

The recent Covid-19 pandemic has also led to many changes in businesses and public spaces. The transparent partition acts as a protective barrier. against the spread of the virus, by being put in place between workstations, in front of store checkouts, on government counters in order to protect spaces between people.

In this context, Onduline is today launching a new polycarbonate sheet, ONDUCLAIR. Manufactured in the Comines (59) manufacturing unit, it is the only polycarbonate sheet produced in a French factory.

Polycarbonate sheet stands out from other so-called “synthetic” glasses due to its hardness and resistance. Benefiting from a transparency index close to that of glass, it is UV resistant and does not suffer from wear and tear over time. like other materials of the same use. Its technical properties make it suitable for use in aeronautics as an alternative to glass.

In the field of construction or development, the mechanical advantages of polycarbonate in terms of scratch and impact resistance earn it acclaim from many professionals. Another major advantage is that a polycarbonate sheet can be easily bent. to adapt to the constraints of installation, to fit a body angle for example.

Available from mid-June 2020, the new ONDUCLAIR polycarbonate sheets are available in 12/10th thickness in 2 m x 1,20 m.
