New Bosch GLM 80 Professional Rangefinder
The first 2-in-1 rangefinder that also acts as an electronic level thanks to the 360° inclinometer function
- A quality demanded by professionals
- GLM 80 Professional rangefinder: Technology at the service of measurement
- GLM 80 + R 60 Professional electronic level: 2-in-1 tool for more functionality
The new Bosch GLM 80 Professional Distance Meter offers new features thanks to the unique 360° tilt sensor. By continuously calculating its tilt angle, it allows, firstly, in Distance Meter mode to considerably simplify complex calculations. Secondly, exclusive to Bosch, the 360° tilt sensor gives the possibility to use the GLM 80 Professional with its R 60 rail in electronic level mode for tilt measurements and leveling.
A quality demanded by professionals
Like all Bosch Professional tools, the new GLM 80 Professional Distance Meter meets high quality standards to satisfy professional users.
With a range of 80 m and an accuracy of ± 1.5 mm, the GLM 80 Rangefinder
Professional Bosch is designed for all applications, mainly indoors.
Its compact size and low weight of 140g make it an easy rangefinder to keep on your belt all day long. In addition, its robust design (IP 54 protection) allows it to withstand the toughest operating conditions.
GLM 80 Professional rangefinder: technology at the service of measurement
The new Bosch GLM 80 Professional Distance Meter is a comprehensive yet extremely easy-to-use tool that performs both simple and complex calculations.
For simple calculations, the GLM 80 Professional, with its 80 m range, measures distances, areas (m²) and volumes (m3) in just a few seconds.
Thanks to the 360° inclinometer function, complex calculations only need a single measurement, making it easier to use, especially in cluttered or hard-to-reach areas.
For example, when using the "indirect height" function (also called "simple Pythagoras") which allows you to calculate the height of a house, other rangefinders require the user to take two measurements: one on the ground at 90° and another at roof level.
The new Bosch GLM 80 Professional Rangefinder, on the other hand, only requires measurement towards the roof because the internal tilt sensor calculates the angle relative to the ground.
The main advantages include the ability to measure heights quickly and accurately indirectly; and obstacles that obstruct visibility are no longer a problem.
The new Bosch GLM 80 Professional Rangefinder is also the first rangefinder on the market equipped with an integrated lithium-ion battery: up to 25 measurements per full charge!
In addition to its long battery life, the Lithium-Ion battery has no self-discharge, which means that the GLM 80 Professional Rangefinder will always be ready for use even after a long period of inactivity. Finally, its battery is rechargeable via a universal charger with a Micro-USB port.
Bosch GLM 80 + R 60 Professional electronic level: 2-in-1 tool for more functionality
With the robust R 60 aluminium rail, the GLM 80 Professional is a 2-in-1 tool: it attaches in seconds to switch from rangefinder mode to electronic level mode. The Bosch GLM 80 + R 60 Professional allows you to perform distance measurements as well as highly precise levelling and inclination measurements.
First of all, the leveling allows users to check the horizontality or verticality of a work surface or a wall thanks to the audible signal at 0° and 90°.
Then, the Bosch GLM 80 + R 60 Professional Electronic Level offers the possibility of measuring inclinations in °, mm/m or xx with an accuracy of ± 0.2°.
For greater ease of use, the screen is backlit with automatic rotation of the display in 4 directions for easy and quick reading of the results.
The new Bosch GLM 80 Professional Distance Meter and GLM 80 + R 60 Professional Electronic Level are available from May 2011.
