New Wolfpack, a modular analysis and control system for monitoring indoor air quality
Fondis Electronic presents the new WolfPack, an indoor air quality monitoring station manufactured by the American company GrayWolf. Highly modular, this new field environmental control system can accommodate from 1 to 3 measuring probes and up to 6 electrochemical gas sensors per probe. It is possible to complete the system with additional instruments (particle counter, anemometer, pressure switch, etc.) to meet the needs of specific applications. Ultimately, the WolfPack is capable of measuring 30 parameters simultaneously, including: Total VOCs, temperature, humidity, differential or barometric pressure, and numerous gases (CO, CO2, H2S, O3, NO, NO2, NH3, SO2, etc.).
FUNDIS ELECTRONIC
A SOLUTION DEDICATED TO THE BUILDING AND INDUSTRY SECTORS
The WolfPack is a tool for immediate, on-site verification of indoor air quality. It is intended for property diagnosticians, construction companies, expert firms, local authorities, etc., particularly in the context of bringing public, private, residential, and tertiary premises into compliance (e.g., CO or CO2 measurement linked to a faulty heating system, condition of the ventilation network, etc.).
The measuring system is also used on industrial sites for monitoring toxic emissions in factory premises or nearby buildings (examples: measurement of ammonia NH3 in the offices of a fertilizer factory, measurement of hydrogen sulfide H2S in a refinery, etc.).
A HIGHLY MODULAR SYSTEM
The WolfPack can accommodate 1 to 3 measuring probes, each equipped with several sensors (maximum 6). Additional instruments such as a particle counter, an anemometer or a pressure switch can be added. It is thus possible to continuously and simultaneously monitor up to 30 parameters with a single WolfPack system: Total VOCs, humidity (%RH) and temperature as well as particles, pressure (differential or barometric with autozero) or air speed.
The 20 electrochemical gas sensors available can measure the thresholds of the main products that present a health risk: carbon monoxide and dioxide (CO and CO2), nitrogen monoxide and dioxide (NO and NO2), ozone (O3), ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), sulfur dioxide (SO2), chlorine (Cl2), hydrocyanic acid (HCN), etc.
EXTREME MOBILITY
The WolfPack offers the possibility of monitoring specific areas of a site or building, without moving the entire system each time, for specific needs (sample verification, access monitoring, etc.). Simply remove the probe from the docking station, connect it to portable equipment such as a Mobile Pocket PC, and then reinstall it on the station after taking the measurement in the desired location, without interrupting data recording.
A PRACTICAL AND INTUITIVE TOOL
Thanks to the 3,5'' backlit color touchscreen and the WolfSense application software, the operator is guided at each step by automated functions via videos: specific configuration according to the application, data acquisition... The interface also displays a lot of information on the parameters (sources, background levels, health effects...) and on the sensors (status, characteristics...). It allows the entry of text and audio annotations on-site. Operating under Windows CE environment, the results, once analyzed, will be transferred to a PC.
