New in 2017 - 90 cm special plasterboard level
Level and template for positioning the uprights
One of EDMA Outillage's flagship products, the range of tools for drywall installers has become one of the largest in Europe thanks to numerous innovations patented by the brand. A true specialist in this segment, EDMA Outillage continues to innovate to offer drywall installers ever more versatile and efficient tools that facilitate their work on construction sites.
Following the EDMAPLAC 450 plasterboard lifter, the TWIN PROFIL® back-to-back stud crimping pliers, the DUO TOP® guillotine and THE DIMPLER® screwdriver bit holder, EDMA Outillage is continuing its product development with a new 2-in-1 tool: the 90 cm special plasterboard level. This functional tool serves both as a level and as a template to facilitate the installation of the metal studs that form the partition or plasterboard lining.
A high-end level with several functions to accurately measure inclinations
An indispensable tool for plasterers on construction sites, the 90 cm EDMA Outillage plasterer's level allows for parallel alignment of studs with a precision of 0,5 mm/m when installing plasterboard.
This high-end level is constructed from aluminum with a machined surface. Furthermore, it features a vertical and a horizontal vial made of shock-resistant acrylic, sealed with epoxy resin.
And, to make the level easier to read, the vertical vial has been designed with Plumb Site® Dual-viewTM technology. This allows, thanks to a mirror housed in the body of the level, a frontal reading of the vial.
The clever EDMA Tools level attaches easily to studs thanks to its two magnetic notches . These practical notches eliminate the need for the tradesperson to hold the level, allowing for greater freedom of movement during installation.
The face opposite the notches is also magnetized, which makes it possible to determine the location of the uprights behind the plasterboard thanks to the marking marks on the side face of the level.
Installation template for metal uprights
The new EDMA Tools level can also be used as a template when installing plasterboard. It features three 40,7 mm wide magnetic notches designed to position studs, which must always be spaced 40 cm or 60 cm apart.
The 1st and 2nd notches are spaced 40 cm apart and the 1st and 3rd notches are spaced 60 cm apart.
The spacing of 40 cm, or 4 uprights per standard plasterboard 120 cm wide, is preferred for areas where it is planned to fix heavy elements on the partitions such as a kitchen for example.
The standard spacing of 60 cm allows the installation of 3 uprights per plasterboard. The distance between the end of the level and the second notch is also 2 cm so that it can be used in the corners.
