New enthalpy heat exchanger Zehnder Comfosystems
A polymer membrane for high thermal efficiency, hygrometric comfort and optimal indoor air quality
Zehnder Comfosystems is launching its new cross-flow enthalpy heat exchanger with a polymer membrane at INTERCLIMA. This solution is being developed for the high-efficiency Zehnder ComfoAir 350 and Zehnder ComfoAir 550 ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) dual-flow ventilation systems.
At the heart of high-efficiency dual-flow ventilation systems, the cross-flow counter-current enthalpy heat exchanger contributes to the hygrometric comfort of the home:
In winter, it helps maintain humidity levels at a comfortable level, preventing excessively dry air. The moisture contained in stale air is transferred to the fresh air.
In summer, coupled with a Zehnder ComfoFond Canadian well system or Zehnder ComfoCool heat pump, it helps to reduce humidity, thus improving summer comfort.
The humidity contained in the fresh air is transferred to the stale air (winter/summer reverse system).
The new polymer membrane guarantees high thermal efficiency
to the Zehnder Comfosystems heat exchanger (75% thermal efficiency and 65% humidity return).
Its Microban® antimicrobial technology prevents the growth of bacteria and mold.
The new polymer membrane also stands out for the absence of gas and odor transfer.
Healthy air quality
The new Zehnder Comfosystems cross-flow countercurrent enthalpy heat exchanger is the first high-efficiency enthalpy exchanger on the market that is fully water-washable for optimal operation and longer system life.
Hygienic, it contributes to the quality of the air inside the home.
Zehnder markets heating and cooling systems for commercial, industrial and public premises in France, as well as Comfosystems dual-flow ventilation solutions for low-energy houses (BBC).
LThe Zehnder Group (3 employees, €000 million in revenue) aims to be the most attractive provider of healthy, comfortable, and energy-efficient indoor climate solutions, with comprehensive ventilation, heating, cooling, and air filtration offerings. The Zehnder Group is present on the French market through its Acova, Runtal, and Zehnder brands.
