New design for Nativ
Zilten's iconic entrance gate becomes even more efficient
Nativ illustrates the brand's desire to offer a concept that enhances wood in its almost original state, combined with virtuous materials, to create a high-performance, environmentally friendly door.
Combining ecology, aesthetics and technological innovation, Nativ allows wood to arouse emotion by connecting the senses and offers a previously unmatched field of expression for an entrance door.
Five years after the launch of Nativ on the market, Zilten is evolving its design to improve the technical performance of the 6 models - Nativ 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 - which make up the iconic range.
High-level insulation for Nativ, the benchmark door
Without touching the aesthetic elements that make the Nativ range so successful and give it its unique personality - contemporary lines enhanced by Red Cedar, wide slats with variable pitches, exclusive stainless steel decors and brushed exterior finish - Zilten anticipates market expectations and evolves the design of its entrance doors.
In line with the construction requirements of passive houses, Zilten is bringing the Nativ range into the homes of tomorrow.
At 94 mm thick, the Nativ door leaf is among the thickest on the market. This unique feature is the result of the assembly of particularly high-performance components: solid Red Cedar, a highly thermally insulated core, and a wood fiber panel for sound insulation. The threshold benefits from a thermal break.
With this new design, the insulation coefficient Ud increases from 0.95 to 0.77 W/m2.K and the sealing from A*3 E*5B V*C3 to A*3 E*6B V*C3. The sound reduction index Rw (C; Ctr) reaches 32(-0; -2) dB.
An optimized design for a controlled cost
Initially made from Red Cedar, the edges and interior faces of Nativ frames are now available in oak - a species renowned for its robustness - to ensure optimal strength for the door frame.
By replacing the sand-lime board with a layer of wood fiber insulation, which improves the stability of the product and reduces sound, Zilten has managed to reduce the weight of the door by 30%. This reduction in weight makes the entrance door much easier to handle and helps ensure its proper installation on site.
The new design of the Nativ range does not generate any increase in the selling price for the customer.
