OCAPE - The new brand dedicated to waterproofing and flat roofing professionals

The craze for what is nicknamed "the fifth facade" in the construction world can also be explained by new uses: making it accessible, installing technical areas, photovoltaic solar panels, planting or even a garden.

OCAPE®, the new brand launched by TMP CONVERT, a renowned French manufacturer in the market for outdoor landscaping solutions with its JOUPLAST® range, offers structural elements for the development of flat roofs and solutions for waterproofing protection. Adjustable pads for slabs and joists, plates for temporary rainwater retention, stabilization plates for gravel, all OCAPE® products intended for waterproofers and general construction companies comply with current standards and DTUs.

Whether for ballasting, retention or development, OCAPE® solutions are intended for flat roofs (inaccessible, accessible, green, etc.) of establishments open to the public, offices, housing, etc. Thus, the two new CAPTIO® and PROCAP® products from the OCAPE® range perfectly fulfill their mission.



Temporary retention of rainwater and protection of waterproofing



CAPTIO®, a polypropylene honeycomb sheet module, allows for temporary water retention for waterproofed roof terraces. This patented innovation can also be used to install lightweight backfill on roof terraces or to provide ballast with gravel in the case of inverted insulation. The New Technical Survey (ETN) currently being validated by the approved inspection office Alpes Contrôles will provide construction stakeholders with precise information on the integration of CAPTIO® into the structure and the conditions for its implementation.



PROCAP®, a honeycomb sheet with integrated geotextile, ensures the stability of gravel on flat roofs, thus protecting the waterproofing from climatic constraints.

CAPTIO®

An innovative and sustainable solution for the temporary retention of rainwater



In the era of climate change, water management has become a key concern. To combat the phenomenon of saturation and overflow of rainwater collection networks in the event of severe weather, TMP CONVERT has developed CAPTIO®. This patented system of honeycomb-structured panels, with a 95% void ratio, allows for temporary water retention on accessible and inaccessible waterproofed roof terraces.



The innovative CAPTIO® temporary water retention solution on waterproof concrete supports consists of a wide range of honeycomb panels that meet all the technical constraints of the project manager: heights from 30 to 240 mm for a water retention capacity of 27,9 to 227,3 l/m2. Made in France from 100% recycled polypropylene, CAPTIO® honeycomb panels are quick and easy to install, and highly resistant to compression (30 T/m2).



When heavy rains occur and the water cannot be drained instantly, the cells of the CAPTIO® system fill with water and then gradually empty through their micro-perforations. This technically innovative and economical solution (no need for an underground tank) ensures a gradual release of water into the sanitation network.

CAPTIO® honeycomb panels are delivered pre-assembled to the construction site, sized according to the specifications of the technical design office and local regulations (the thickness of the CAPTIO® depends on the volume of water to be stored).



Ready-to-use, CAPTIO® honeycomb panels are installed on the waterproofing system or on the inverted insulation. They are laid directly on the drainage layer, one against the other.

PROCAP®

Gravel stabilizing plate with integrated fixing system



Designed for finishing and protecting flat roofs, PROCAP® gravel stabilizing panels are made of highly rigid hexagonal cells, 40 mm high, and an inseparable geotextile (60 g/m²), produced using an exclusive welding process during the injection phase. This honeycomb structure allows gravel, with a grain size of 8 to 16 mm, to be perfectly held in place. It thus protects the waterproofing coating of the flat roof from climatic hazards (UV, temperature variations, wind).



PROCAP® features an integrated fastening system that allows the panels to be joined together. These 1150 x 800 mm panels (i.e., 0,92 m² of usable surface area) are quick to install and easy to handle due to their lightweight construction. They are installed after the waterproofing coating has been laid.



Made from 100% recycled polypropylene, the new PROCAP® coating is resistant to temperature variations (-30°C to +60°C), frost and UV rays.



Made in France, PROCAP® stabilizing plates can also replace 2 m wide concrete slabs around buildings with inaccessible roof terraces.
