The new Capbreton skate park features a large covered area. To achieve this, the project required the installation of 1600 m² of roofing and 2 m² of translucent cladding. According to Thibault Aubert of the architectural firm 600PMA, the site, an extension of the existing skate park, needed to let in light on bad weather days and protect users from UV rays during periods of full sun. Therefore, the firm's architects decided to cover the skate park's frame with translucent polycarbonate elements.

Recognized for its high resistance to shocks and large temperature variations, and for its formulation which gives it a transparency close to that of glass (90%), the ONDUCLAIR PC polycarbonate sheet was chosen.

The Landes-based company GEROARI, which built the framework and roof of the circus school, was chosen to carry out the work.

The ONDUCLAIR PC sheet from ONDULINE is, in fact, designed to promote natural lighting in roofs and cladding. It offers excellent transmission of sky light and retains its optical properties over time thanks to its anti-UV treatment. applied to the outer surface by a co-extrusion technique.

Its fixing method is particularly simple thanks to the fixing kit offered by ONDULINE. This kit includes, depending on the model of plate chosen, specific plastic bridges that match the shape of the plate and wooden single screws or lag bolts to be stuffed depending on the type of support.

ONDUCLAIR PC can be used in all geographical areas because It is resistant to very high temperatures (130°C) as well as the lowest (-30°C).

Its great strength and resistance to shocks make it recommended for roofing and cladding sports halls.
