Onduline - A 17 m000 roof lit with ONDUCLAIR THERMO
This new roof is intended to accommodate photovoltaic panels on its south-facing slopes. The asbestos fiber cement panels, having become too old, were likely to eventually pose a risk to the building's occupants and were not suitable for this new project.
ONDUCLAIR THERMO - Easy to install
ETERA was chosen to renovate this very large 17 m² roof. It carried out the asbestos removal from the entire site, removing the old panels, and then installing the new roof that will house the photovoltaic panels.
Insulating sandwich panels with a steel exterior cladding were selected for this project and, so that the interior of the building benefits from daylight, ONDUCLAIR THERMO translucent polycarbonate panels were chosen to punctuate the new roofing with light sources. .
« The particularity of the ONDUCLAIR THERMO plates is that they offer the same thickness as the sandwich panels, they are perfectly compatible which facilitated their integration into the new roof " says Laurent Ferret, director of ETERA.
The ONDUCLAIR THERMO solution from ONDULINE has in fact been specifically developed to be associated with sandwich panels in new roofs or under renovation and to illuminate the interior of buildings (factories, agricultural sheds, public buildings, etc.). The ONDUCLAIR THERMO sheet is made up of 2 parts: a polycarbonate or polyester sheet and a bottom sheet in cellular polycarbonate. Its transparency ensures maximum comfort inside buildings thanks to increased light transmission.
ONDUCLAIR THERMO - Easy to install
« The frame was very old, with very irregular center distances between purlins. " adds Laurent Ferret, " We must highlight the flexibility and responsiveness of ONDULINE, which allowed us to benefit from our ONDUCLAIR sheets in the different dimensions requested. ».
The assembly of ONDUCLAIR THERMO panels is quick and easy. The panels are placed in advance, at the same time as the metal panels. The panels have longitudinal reinforcements under each main rib to increase their rigidity.
Easy to implement and benefiting from high impact resistance, the ONDUCLAIR THERMO solution is flexible according to the needs of the sites.
Available in many thicknesses (30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 150 mm), it allows perfect adaptation to the various metal sandwich panels on the market.
The air gaps in the panels act as a natural insulator. For greater comfort and to meet the most demanding insulation needs, ONDULINE offers a T (Thermal Comfort) option that provides high-performance insulation coefficients (up to 0,836 W/m2.K).
ONDUCLAIR THERMO solutions are available in a wide range to meet all needs:
ONDUCLAIR THERMO PC: sandwich panel system with the upper skin in polycarbonate with a thickness of 1 mm and the lower skin in cellular polycarbonate.
ONDUCLAIR THERMO PLR: sandwich panel system with the upper skin in polyester with a thickness of 1,2 to 1,6 mm and the lower skin in cellular polycarbonate.
ONDUCLAIR THERMO PC T and PLR T: systems with “Thermal Comfort” option for increased insulation.
ONDUCLAIR THERMO PC R and PLR R: systems with "Reinforced" option for increased resistance to loads and greater ease of installation in new or renovation.
ONDUCLAIR PC TR AND PLR TR: systems benefiting from the 2 options “Reinforced” and “Thermal Comfort” allowing to combine thermal and mechanical performance and ease of use.
