Patrick Loup, new president of the OPPBTP

Patrick Loup (CFE-CGC) and Jean-Claude Guyard (FNTP) have just been elected respectively president and vice-president of the Professional Organization for the Prevention of Building and Public Works, during the last meeting of the National Committee Council.
The OPPBTP council, a joint structure, the construction industry council for safety and the improvement of working conditions, is made up of 20 members, representing professional organizations.
Elected for two years, Patrick Loup will focus on developing the actions defined in the OPPBTP's strategic plan "Horizon 2015" and in particular:

• on-the-ground support for companies, their managers and their employees,
• collaboration with occupational health services,
• strengthening the documentary offering,
• the development of prevention education in initial training courses,
• action with all stakeholders in the construction process (contractors, project owners, project managers, SPS coordinators, manufacturers of materials and equipment and distributors),
• active participation in the implementation of the Occupational Health Plan 2,
• the implementation of regional occupational health plans,
• the development of joint actions with the CNAMTS and the Carsat within the framework of the objectives and management agreement (COG) and the common base.

Patrick Loup

Patrick Loup began his career in the French Navy. After various positions as a site manager for new construction projects in thermal and refrigeration engineering and as a business engineer in complex engineering operations in construction and industry, he became a senior controller and health and safety coordinator at Socotec.

Jean-Claude Guyard

Jean-Claude Guyard began his career in 1967 in the social affairs department of the National Building Federation. He joined Sade (Compagnie Générale de Travaux d'Hydraulique) in 1974, where he served as Director of Personnel and Human Resources until 2007. He is currently Vice-President of the National Working Conditions and Safety Committee of the National Federation of Public Works.
