« I worked in a company before creating my own business in Villaines-sous-Malicorne in November 2015. I handle everything from installation to sanding and varnishing in restoration, repairs of broken boards... In short, everything related to parquet. Most of my projects are carried out in private residences, but I sometimes work for municipalities. I adapt to any type of configuration.

La Flèche Zoo was looking for a flooring specialist, with a preference for a local company. We began a collaboration that continues today. I've worked on around ten accommodations located within the zoo and rented by the night. These lodges offer breathtaking views of the zoo's animals. Their surface area varies between 20-30 and 60-70 m². The work can involve installation or renovation, and the projects last from two to three weeks. Cohabitation with other trades has always gone very well.

I mainly installed fir and renovated oak laminate in all types of rooms: bedrooms, dining areas, kitchen, living room, sometimes bathroom. AQUANAT® Oil

Plastor's single-component AQUANAT® parquet oil offers excellent protection for parquet floors subject to heavy daily traffic. It preserves the natural appearance of raw wood while enhancing its appearance. Easy to use, it leaves no visible film and dries in just 1 to 2 hours between coats. It can be applied without polishing in 2 coats during the day and without wiping. Its odor is not unpleasant, it releases only 3 g/L of VOCs. Available in 25 effects: matte and raw effect.

« Les Sens du Bois has been around since 2009. We are two managers and three employees, and we exclusively carry out parquet floor renovations. We work on projects ranging from very small private homes to huge areas, as was the case for the Brest cable car (3 m500). At first, we worked a lot as a subcontractor for other trades, but today, increasingly, we are contacted directly. We won the Saint-Eloi gymnasium project by responding to a call for tenders from the city of Poitiers for the renovation of its sports parquet floors. The work lasted two weeks in July 2, during school and club holidays. All 2020 team members were mobilized. We absolutely did not have to work with other trades, as it was only a matter of restoring the sports area, i.e. 5 m1 of Junckers 265-strip beech parquet.
It is a fairly hard wood that is already densified. To get it back, you have to attack it quite hard with 24 or 36 grit. Visually, the whole thing seemed quite clean but gray areas were starting to appear and some boards needed repairs. As an undercoat, we used PRIM'SO (odorless primer) then two coats of PUR-T® Sport satin Plastor.

The floor markings were the special feature of this project, including a logo whose shape was very tricky to achieve. This major piece in the center of the floor took us four days of work because it required a dry run, then the second stencil for the second run, and so on.

This new product allowed us to discover Plastor tracing paints which seem to have very good hold. We also had to comply with anti-slip standards and choose varnishes suitable for gyms.

We have been working with Plastor since 2009 and are very happy with them so far. »

With a high penetrating power which allows it to form an ideal bonding base for the finish, the PRIM'SO universal hard base is compatible with all Plastor sealers (aqueous phase as solvent). Its pore filler function neutralizes anti-oxidants to ensure the perfect drying of all parquet vitrifiers. Very comfortable to use, PRIM'SO dries quickly and without annoying odors. In addition, it gives a light honey color to the parquet and is suitable for new or old wood in all types of species.

PUR-T® Sport Varnish

PUR-T® Sport from Plastor is a two-component polycarbonate varnish ideal for sports floors. Available in satin and American (glossy) finishes, it meets the slip resistance requirements of standard EN 14904 and has the slip resistance report according to standard NF EN 13036-4. Easy to apply (greasy), it is odorless and offers good filling. With a non-yellowing film, this professional varnish is recommended for varnishing interior parquet or wood-based floors, particularly new or old sports floors of all types of species. Its long recovery time is designed for large surfaces. It is suitable for sports halls on heated floors and cement floors and emits few VOCs (Label EC1 R).

Tracing paint

Specially designed for marking parquet floors in sports halls, Plastor 2-component solvent-based polyurethane paint has a thixotropic texture to prevent drips between the marking strips.

A long-time Plastor partner, Patrice POTIN, manager of the company specializing in parquet floor renovation and varnishing, used Plastor products to complete the finishing touches to this project.

«I worked for a company for 8 years before starting my own business in 1998. I carry out work alone installing and sanding wooden floors, mainly in renovations and for private homes, although I sometimes work in administrative spaces or sports halls.

This renovation project was offered to me by the project manager. The Auberge du Vieux Château is located in the village of La Roche-Maurice, at the foot of a ruined castle, near Landernau, in northern Finistère. The owners wanted to completely redo their dining room: ceiling, walls, windows, while keeping the existing parquet flooring. So I went first to protect the floor from possible damage caused by the intervention of other trades. A few weeks later, I carried out the actual renovation of the parquet flooring. The entire work lasted between 4 and 5 weeks. The Auberge reopened in March 2020 and had to close due to Covid-19 only two days later.

The renovation involved a reception room with 200 m² of oak parquet flooring. For a restaurant room that had also hosted tea dances for several decades, there were surprisingly few scratches, but the wood had been discolored by sunlight and moonlight. My work took a good week, during which time and space had to be adjusted as some tradespeople were finishing touches. On such a large area, care must be taken to limit rework by carefully calculating drying times. I sanded the whole thing several times with the machine (50,80, 100 then 3), used the PRIM'SO undercoat and finally applied the PUR-T®XNUMX DUO Plastor varnish.

It is ideal for new or old interior parquet floors or wood-based materials in all types of wood.
Finally, it is formulated with 0% NMP (N-Methyl Pyrrolidone) and NEP (N-Ethyl Pyrrolidone). 3 aspects: matte, satin and glossy.

"JI worked with my father for 15 years. When he ceased his activity, 7 years ago, I took over the company and hired an employee. So there are two of us who carry out all the custom operations concerning solid wood: maintenance, installation, renovation. We mainly work on private construction sites, so the Vic-sur-Seille performance hall is an exception. I was invited to respond to a call for tenders which I won. It involved beech walkways with an area of ​​240 m2: a circulation of 40 m2 upstairs and two times 100 m2 (25 x 4 wide) whose existing parquet floors were very damaged.

This project had two major constraints: it was necessary to deal with masons who worked with stone as well as painters, and the site was very poorly heated, which gave rise to some expansion problems, especially since the work took place throughout the month of January.

We started with a very strong sanding with 40 grit and once the floor was clean, we gradually moved up to the 120 grit finishes.  We used Plastor's base coat sealer and then sealed with two coats of PUR-T®3 DUO varnish, which is suitable for high-traffic areas. This varnish is ideal for performance spaces with high traffic and for very hard woods like beech. Beforehand, I had sought advice from a Plastor expert, describing the project in detail.

We have always worked with Plastor, for at least 30 years: the products are impeccable, our relationships with the advisors have always been top-notch and the technical service is superb. »

Bottom filler

Plastor base sealer is a technical acrylic undercoat for interior wood to be applied in a system with PUR-T® water-based sealers. This ready-to-use single-component, particularly suitable for sports halls and recommended by the FFBB (French Basketball Federation), seals the bottoms of highly absorbent and irregular woods such as beech. This hard base modifies porosity and fills in absorption differences to provide a uniform and regular level of protection on the treated surface. Non-yellowing film and formula reinforced with anti-UV agents. Easy sanding and natural appearance that preserves light tones.
