Landing Doors - Accessibility for People with Reduced Mobility. A 100% compliant solution by METALUX

To meet this requirement, MÉTALUX has designed new multi-point locks which are suitable for renovation or non-compliant construction site acceptance.

Part of Article 10 of the decree of 1 August 2006 of the Disability Act is dedicated to door handles. It states in particular that the minimum distance from the axis of the lock must be 300 mm and the end of the door handles must be located more than 400 mm from a re-entrant angle of walls or any other obstacle to the approach of a wheelchair.

As part of the renovation or acceptance of construction sites subject to a negative opinion regarding the conformity of housing landing doors with respect to accessibility criteria, METALUX has developed two solutions which allow landing doors already installed to meet this requirement.

100% compliant with Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005, the two palliative solutions proposed by MÉTALUX offer the possibility for already installed housing landing doors to meet accessibility characteristics without architectural constraints. This perfect restoration of compliance is possible thanks to the installation of multi-point locks mounted on the interior face of the door, the central box of which has a 300 mm axis. Already available in a non-A2P version, the new 300 mm multi-point lock from MÉTALUX is currently undergoing A2P* certification.
