Protac launches its first fire-retardant wood cladding, Clinexel® RESISTaufeu
ARTIBAT 2016 Special - New product
Protac, a specialist in wood products for homes and outdoor areas, will be presenting its first wood cladding with fire-retardant paint: Clinexel® RESISTaufeu, at the ARTIBAT trade fair from 19 to 21 October 2016.
Combining solid wood and an opaque intumescent paint finish available in 5 colors - Light, Mineral, Graphite, Cirrus and Larch tone - Clinexel® RESISTaufeu cladding is specially designed to slow the spread of fire.
In case of contact with a flame or exposure to very high heat, the finish creates a protective physical barrier which insulates the material from the cladding, thus maximizing the degradation time of the wood and delaying its combustion.
With a 10-year guarantee on the treatment applied and the durability of the paint finish, Clinexel® RESISTaufeu is perfectly suited for installation in collective buildings and public buildings. It provides safety for occupants, while meeting the requirements of the European Euroclass C classification.
An extension of the range in response to market expectations
A complementary solution to Protac's Clinexel® range, Clinexel® RESISTaufeu wood cladding is available in Vicking and Inca profiles.
Developed to meet the growing demand from professionals - specifiers, traders and installers -, Clinexel® RESISTaufeu complies with the regulations in place within the framework of the installation of cladding:
• ERP - Establishments Receiving the Public -,
• detached or semi-detached individual dwellings > R+1,
• grouped individual dwellings ≥ R+1,
• collective housing ≤ R+3.
Euroclass C certification also allows the installation of wood cladding when the minimum regulatory distance between overlapping openings (“C + D” rule) cannot be applied.
Certified by the FCBA, an independent and recognized national organization, Protac's Clinexel® RESISTaufeu wood cladding is installed in compliance with DTU 41.2.
With its RESISTaufeu range, available in Lamexel® paneling and Clinexel® cladding, Protac is strengthening its position as a manufacturer of interior and exterior wood products adapted to all market requirements.
