PRYSMIAN GROUP READY FOR CPP

 The Prysmian Group, a global leader in the energy and telecommunications cable systems industry, offers the widest range of cables, compliant with the new (European) Construction Products Regulation (CPR) No. 305/2011, providing its customers with ever more innovative solutions.

The CPR applies to all cables intended for integration into construction works and subject to performance requirements in terms of reaction to fire. This harmonized standard has been applicable since June 10, 2016, while the end date of the coexistence period was set at July 1, 2017. Prysmian is ready to support its customers during this delicate transition period, thanks to its reaction to fire testing equipment, the positioning of its products and the development of suitable materials. The Group has been investing for years in high value-added products and has developed a complete range of high-performance cables that are fully compliant with the CPR requirements and available in several European countries.

Prysmian France has obtained Euroclass Eca certification for its energy cables most commonly used in the construction of buildings and public works.

Speedy H07 VU, H07 VR, H07 VK domestic wires, and U-1000 R2V, U-1000AR2V and H07RN-F industrial cables have been tested by Eca accredited and certified laboratories. 

The next productions of these cables at the industrial sites of Paron (89), Charvieu (38) and Amfreville (76) will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the RPC and the products will bear the CE marking. This marking will be accompanied by all the information required by the RPC; it will be affixed to the packaging of the products, namely on the coils for packaged lengths, or on the reels for cut cables. The documents accompanying the product, such as delivery slips, will also bear this information.

Product technical data sheets are also modified to take into account this product development.

Prysmian cables and systems France continues its progress in safety and the rapid application of the Construction Products Regulation to soon put Euroclass Cca energy cables on the market.
