Realization: wooden architecture creates a spontaneous connection with nature

Commitment to ecology requires creativity. This applies to both the construction and tourism sectors. ASI Reisen (Alpin-Schule Innsbruck), a specialist in active eco-friendly holidays and adventure travel, offers its guests an alternative program that is a world away from "overtourism" and the cruise industry. To communicate these values even externally, the international architectural firm Snøhetta designed a distinctive wooden building for the company's headquarters in Natters. ASI Reisen settled in a quiet corner amidst the forest and fields, literally aptly named "Quiet." The designers clad the ceilings with Ligno® Acoustique light acoustic panels. This protects the generous "open office" spaces from noise and stress. The irregular "nature" profile of the panels enhances the interior space with an attractive slatted surface in light silver fir.

A perfect symbiosis between man, nature and architecture

The modern timber architecture offers the 65 employees a consistently high quality of life. From the very beginning, the architects involved the future users in the design process in order to anchor this creative idea of theand cleaner open space landscaped. The building allows for the targeted implementation of the project's leitmotif: the symbiosis between man, nature, and architecture. The basement and the reinforced core of the building are made of reinforced concrete, but the rest is a factory-assembled construction with transverse solid timber elements, designed by the traditional Tyrolean company Huter & Söhne.

A dark envelope, a light heart of real wood

The wooden façade uses a finishing method originating from Japan. The Shou Sugi Ban (Yakisugi) technique preserves the wood through carbonization. The light wood of the interior spaces thus forms an elegant contrast with the dark façade. Lignotrend uses refined local silver fir for its real wood ceiling cladding. Its products meet the high natureplus® standards, with particularly stringent requirements regarding components and emissions.

Ligno panels® Acoustics for a warm visual, acoustic and climatic atmosphere

Ligno® Acoustic panels are available with various slat profiles to vary the decorative effects. In Natters, the designers used the "natural" profile version with slats of irregular widths. This choice gives the rooms a particular liveliness. They chose a knot-free wood quality, a specialty of the manufacturer. The knots in the wood are removed during manufacturing. The result is a particularly refined surface. It allows for modern, light, and elegant timber construction architecture, free from rusticity.

Sound reverberation occurs in large rooms without sound-absorbing materials. Ligno® Acoustique Light acoustic panels effectively combat this phenomenon. The elements, made entirely of natural wood, feature sound absorbers made of natural wood fibers.
