Paris, 18th arrondissement, Abesses district: a new home was built in 2020 on the roof of an existing building. As part of a renovation project, a custom-built loft and its planted terrace were created, combining indoor and outdoor comfort. ACG and Mariebey created this new cocoon based on the Oh Perché! Rooftop concept. It combines greenery and city life. Interior door manufacturer Eclisse equipped this Parisian apartment with doors from the Syntesis® collection. Simplicity, design, and customization are the order of the day. Visit and explanations.

Eclisse equips a loft “perched” on the rooftops of Paris

More than a habitat, an art of living

Oh Perché! Rooftop's signature style is to design homes with large openings and living spaces that always include a planted outdoor area. Over the course of 7 months, from June to December 2020, the ACG firm and the Mariebey agency created this 113m² apartment (excluding terraces) from scratch and designed it down to the smallest detail. It comprises two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, a living space opening onto the kitchen, and a planted terrace.    The buyers, arrived during the construction site, appreciated the architects' support in personalizing their future main residence. Their quality of life is a priority. They want a connected and modern apartment with an outdoor space. Having a rather busy lifestyle, mixing professional and family lives, the couple feels the need for calm when returning home ; hence an open, airy, light space, combining green spaces and an exceptional panorama of the urban city.   “This apartment is a real breath of fresh air, the appeal of which we rediscovered during the lockdown.” confide the owners.      Design, technology & plants    Wooden terraces, unobstructed views, green plants, and simple, minimalist furniture define the exterior. Large bay window, skylights, furniture (Philippe Hurel & Marine Peyre) and noble materials (wood, parquet flooring, marble-finished porcelain stoneware) are the hallmarks of the interior. The kitchen opens onto the living space, a true ode to the French art of living. In this dual-aspect apartment, the opening of the living room opens onto the corridor where the owners' private spaces are located.    “Connected technology is at the heart of this project. A home automation system centralizes energy management and automation of equipment (control of shutters, lighting, temperature).” Explain Coralie Palaise, interior designer in charge of the project.      Eclisse, interior architecture solution    "We were looking for invisible, flush-fitting, and modern doors. The goal was to maintain the understated, designer feel of the space, even in the hallway, a "lost" room. We wanted a sense of infinity. Eclisse interior doors fit the bill." comments Coralie Palaise.   Six flush-fitting door sets, Syntesis® Battant models from Eclisse, adorn the corridor leading to the private rooms (bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, laundry room, etc.). They hold the promise of creating the illusion of an endless wall.      Project identity sheet
