Sylvania's Resisto: an even more efficient range of waterproof LED luminaires

With now more than 52 references, the Resisto range is available in numerous versions:

• three dimensions (600, 1200 and 1500 mm),

• three color temperatures (3000, 4000 and 6500 K), one of which (3000 K) allows compliance with the decree of December 27, 2018 relating to the prevention, reduction and limitation of light pollution in semi-covered parking type applications,

• luminous fluxes from 1.600 up to a high flux of 9.700 lm,

• 3 new multi-power models. The multi-power offer is easily selected by a cursor located on the driver and is available from 11-19 W for a luminous flux of 1425-2500 lm, 21-36 W for 2900-5000 lm, 35-61 W for 4850-8500 lm. These new waterproof versions have the significant advantage of allowing not only installers to adapt to more sites but also distributors to optimize their stock management with a single model replacing the equivalent of 2 or 3 waterproof models,

• and always the possibility of offering a tailor-made product adapted to a specific request thanks to a European production tool.

To ensure reliable and energy-efficient lighting in all circumstances, Sylvania Group offers Resisto waterproof luminaires with three lighting management systems, from the simplest to the most advanced solution:

• with the DALI communication protocol,

• With microwave detection, Resisto MW only turns on when it detects movement and also takes into account the level of exterior lighting. Another advantage is that thanks to a possible “master-student” installation, a luminaire equipped with the MW sensor can control up to 2 others without a sensor. To provide better security, particularly in parking lots, Resisto has an infinite MW Corridor function. This maintains the luminous flux of all the luminaires at 10% and thus allows non-infrared video surveillance systems to remain fully operational. Using the same electrical network, Resisto luminaires are not only faster to install but also less energy-intensive,

• and, in the SylSmart® Connected version for optimized management of its installations. The high-resistance Resisto waterproofs incorporate a new generation of SylSmart® Connected smart sensors; now offering optimized “low height” sensors (maximum installation height 3,5m), and “high height” sensors as standard for installation up to 17m. Each luminaire is equipped with a robust smart sensor that captures and relays detailed data on occupancy and daylight securely via a qualified Bluetooth mesh network. Configurable management via a dedicated mobile application for simple and quick configuration (creation of luminaire groups, time delays, switching times, intensity levels, etc.). The use of this data improves the efficiency of the installation and significantly reduces energy consumption.

Resisto, a complete and versatile range designed to last

Specially developed in Germany by Sylvania's R&D center in Erlangen, which also ensures maintenance thanks to the availability of components, Sylvania's waterproof LED luminaires in the Resisto range benefit from a highly robust design. Their polycarbonate body and UV-treated polycarbonate diffuser give them IP66 and IK08 protection.

Guaranteed for 5 years and with a long lifespan of 69.000 hours (L80B20), Resisto operates in temperature ranges between -20° and +40°C. In its high-performance version, it achieves a luminous efficacy of up to 161 lm/W to provide pleasant and homogeneous lighting (SDCM<3).

ENEC certified, the entire range complies with European safety and performance standards, allowing its installation whatever the application, including agri-food sites thanks to the IFS (International Featured Standard) certificate.

Installation in no time on construction sites

The Resisto's LED board and bowl are fixed together, allowing quick and direct access to the connection system, with enough space in the body of the device for wiring and handling with gloves. Thanks to sliding stainless steel brackets, fixing clips and a quick and loopable LiLo (Loop-in Loop-out) connector, the luminaire is easy to install, saving time on construction sites while also offering the possibility of wiring the standard Resisto using through-wiring.

By expanding its extensive Resisto range with multi-wattage versions, Sylvania Group intends to consolidate its position as a leading player in waterproof lighting. With its PEP Eco-passport based on the results of the product's Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), Resisto also illustrates the company's eco-responsible commitment, which thus meets its customers' expectations regarding the calculation of the environmental performance of their building.

A factory in the heart of Europe

A new automated production line for the Resisto waterproof luminaire has been launched in Erlangen, Germany.
