Bathtub fittings: launch of the Multiplex Trio Visign MT5

The Viega Multiplex Trio is THE classic in the field of bathtub fittings. This series has been part of the renowned bathroom hardware manufacturer's standard equipment for decades.

By launching the new Multiplex Trio Visign MT5 at the 2011 ISH trade fair in Frankfurt, Viega is ensuring that this will continue to be the case in the years to come. With its flat design, the filling mechanism can now be installed in bathtubs with particularly narrow edges.

The Multiplex Trio Visign MT5 has received the “Design Plus powered by ISH” award.

This mechanism of bathtub filler is distinguished by a practical triple function, consisting of a concealed water inlet, an integrated overflow and a waste control. Despite demanding technology, Viega has managed to reduce the construction depth of the fitting body to only 33 mm. The fitting can therefore also be installed under the narrow edges of designer bathtubs.

Viega has consistently integrated the flat construction of the faucet body into the design of the Multiplex Trio Visign MT5. The depth of the rosette, including the water inlet, is only 17 mm. With its shiny chrome surface, it sits completely flat on the bathtub.

This design also won over the expert jury of the "Design Plus powered by ISH" competition: Viega was awarded the coveted prize thanks to the clean lines of its new bathtub filling mechanism, designed by the design agency Artefakt Industriekultur in Darmstadt.

A construction depth of only 33 mm

Technically, the reduced construction depth of the Multiplex Trio Visign MT5 was achieved by modifying the arrangement of the inlet and overflow in the fitting body. This adaptation is particularly noticeable with the new, elegant and homogeneous beam.

The water inlet connection is impressive during installation. Connection is very easy, despite the limited space under the bathtub rim. The drain lock is controlled via a cable.

The particularly flat construction of the Multiplex Trio Visign MT5 is also available for Viega's Rotaplex bathtub filling systems and for the manufacturer's waste and overflow valves.
