Salmson goes further in rainwater recovery with Recupeo

By Batipole Edition   Published on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 02:00

To effectively complement its rainwater harvesting and utilization offering, Salmson has created Récupéo, aimed at professionals. Collected in a tank (2 sizes available), the rainwater can then be used for irrigation, toilets, car washing, etc. Once the tank is empty, the supply automatically switches to the city water network.

Salmson expands its rainwater recovery offering with the Récupéo Master L/XL

SALMSON echoes a philosophy that respects natural resources by offering products that contribute to water conservation. The RECUPEO MASTER, a new rainwater management system for multi-family buildings and the industrial sector, is part of this approach and complements Salmson's rainwater harvesting offering. Like the solution for residential use (RECUPEO), the RECUPEO MASTER is a preconfigured product, with all the necessary elements for:

- Ensure the proper functioning of the installation.
- Facilitate its sizing.
- Ensure compliance with current regulations.

The RECUPEO MASTER is notably composed of a solution combining all the specific functions for rainwater recovery and pressure boosting functions. With a flow rate of up to 16 m3/h for a maximum manometric height of 58 meters, the RECUPEO MASTER is available in 2 models:

- RECUPEO MASTER L, equipped with a 150-litre tank and 2 SPRINGSON pumps.
- RECUPEO MASTER XL, equipped with a 400-litre tank and 2 HYDROSON pumps.

1. Applications:

From collective buildings (collective housing buildings, tertiary buildings, office buildings) to the industrial sector, the RECUPEO MASTER meets the following applications: irrigation, washing of vehicle fleets, supply of toilets and washing machines (on an experimental basis), supply of water in the peri-process and industrial processes.

2. The advantages:

Practicality:

- Compact, all-in-one solution, easy to size.
- Preconfigured product, ready to install and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Default report available.

Automation:

- Automatic management of rainwater supply.
- Automatic switchover between rainwater and city water.

Reliability:

- Air seal disconnection (compliance with EN1717 standard).
- Integrated water shortage and motor protections.

3. Operating principle and design:

As soon as a draw-off point is opened, a pump starts up. If water demand increases, the second pump starts up as backup. At the end of use, the pumps stop in cascade. This intelligent manager automatically switches to the city water network when the tank is empty; the distribution network therefore remains supplied at all times.

a. Specificities - RECUPEO Master L

- RCP “Rain Control Pro” automation, equipped with all the necessary electronics: solenoid valves, 4 - 20 mA pressure sensor, water shortage protection, level probe with 20 meter cable for displaying the water level in the tank.
