Combining quality, safety, and efficiency, these solutions meet the demands of contemporary construction while offering concrete benefits to precasters, including cost reduction, time savings, and improved sustainability.

Overview of the complete panorama of Schöck's flagship products according to the main prefabrication applications (prefabricated slabs, walls, balconies and acroteria, stairwells).

Pre-slabs: significant thermal and structural gains with Rutherma® and Bole®

The breaker for ITI Schöck Rutherma®, certified by the CSTB for all seismic zones, guarantees high-performance thermal insulation, reducing structural thermal bridges by up to 90%. Easy to use with pre-slabs, it is both lightweight and modular, ensuring rapid and secure installation. On the prefabrication side, this represents an easy-to-handle solution in the factory, precise alignment of elements thanks to the mortise-and-tenon system, as well as a reduction in energy costs for the end customer.

The Schöck Bole® anti-puncture reinforcement simplifies the design of slabs by eliminating the need for beams to fall between the columns. It ensures architectural and economic optimization of projects, with a significant reduction in both concrete and formwork requirements.

Delivered ready to install (via rails positioned on the prefabrication table), this turnkey solution thus contributes to increased productivity and strengthened competitiveness.

Strasbourg Bowling, Orangerie Park

Located in the heart of the Parc de l'Orangerie, an iconic and popular location in Strasbourg, the Bowling de Strasbourg is undergoing a complete overhaul, led by the Fehr company for the construction and production of prefabricated elements. This ambitious project aims to breathe new life into the building by integrating new bowling lanes, modern seminar spaces, and redesigned social areas.

To meet the technical requirements of this transformation, Fehr relied on Schöck for the treatment of the columns integrated into the structure. Schöck Bole® punching shear reinforcement, renowned for its punching force transmission performance, was used at two key levels of the project:

  • In the raft, with a thickness of 40 to 55 cm, to ensure optimal distribution of loads at the foundation level.
  • At the PH RDC & PH R+1 level, with posts integrated into the pre-slabs, guaranteeing structural continuity and easy implementation.

This project perfectly illustrates Schöck's ability to support complex restructuring projects, while providing reliable, sustainable technical solutions adapted to the constraints of the site.

The connector Schöck Isolink®, made of composite glass fibers, has two main advantages: very low thermal conductivity combined with ease of installation. Suitable for insulated pre-walls and sandwich panels, it provides continuous and uniform insulation, guaranteeing comfort for occupants. Certified by the Passivhaus Institute, Isolink® meets the most demanding energy efficiency standards, while offering unparalleled flexibility for architects. It should also be noted that it can be positioned in high-quality exposed concrete facades (formed, painted, etc.).

Isolink® allows prefabricators to have a high-performance and economical alternative to traditional anchors in insulated pre-walls, with only 4 connectors required per m² and a significant reduction in thermal bridges. Installation is simple: the Isolink® are easily placed through the insulation. The Screwtool tool allows for even faster implementation.

Stade Rochelais Performance Center, Apivia Parc

Schöck Isolink® was chosen by Groupe GA for the prefabricated façade walls of the Stade Rochelais Performance Center, Apivia Parc (17). The 4 m², L-shaped building on two levels includes an entrance hall, changing rooms and toilets for professionals and U000 players, two weight rooms, as well as offices, a restaurant, a video room, and a cardio-stretching area upstairs. An indoor training pitch with synthetic turf completes the complex.

Jean-Pierre Renaud, from the Architectes Associés agency, explains: “ This project is based on strong values: rigor, respect, humility, conviviality... We wanted a robust and stable architecture, expressed by the use of raw concrete, sometimes textured like wood, sometimes smooth and light. » Concrete, used in double-sided insulated panels, guarantees durability, thermal comfort and resistance, while creating interior atmospheres with touches of color.

The GA Group carried out this ambitious project, with prefabrication of the panels at the Criquebeuf-sur-Seine (27) plant. In total, 6 Schöck Isolink® connectors were used for the 700 sandwich panels representing 180 m² of facade. The project was completed in just 2 months. The walls were manufactured in two months, then delivered to the site in 000 days, at a rate of around ten panels per day.

Balconies and Acroteria: perfect integration with Isokorb®

Le Schöck Isokorb® thermal bridge breaker, for ITE, guarantees optimal reduction of energy losses and perfect integration with prefabricated elements. Under DTA validated by the CSTB, with two thicknesses to choose from, 80 mm (T) and 120 mm (XT), Isokorb® simplifies the manufacturing process for balconies and parapets by directly integrating thermal insulation, combined with acoustic insulation. This allows for the delivery of elements ready to install on site, thus reducing assembly constraints, in particular reducing the risk of damage to balconies and disruption to public spaces.

Lille Biotope

For the Biotope building in Lille, 74 cantilevered balconies were treated both thermally and structurally using 450 Schöck Isokorb® breakers (types K, K-BH and ESi). It should be noted that 470 m² of insulated pre-walls on the ground floor incorporated approximately 2 Schöck Isolink® thermal connectors.

To ensure consistent thermal performance, Bouygues Construction chose Schöck to supply thermal breaks adapted to this complex project. Indeed, Schöck solutions are the only ones on the market to have a Technical Assessment for use in ITE in seismic zones. However, the Biotope, classified in importance category 3, is located in zone 2.

Specifically, 200 linear meters of Schöck Isokorb® type K breakers were used for conventional balconies, 100 type K-BH units for raised balconies (offset of 30 to 60 cm), and 150 ESi modules were added to absorb seismic forces.

Stairwells: proven acoustic comfort thanks to Tronsole®

Schöck Tronsole® meets the growing demands for acoustic comfort. Designed to effectively insulate impact noise in stairwells, this system has the advantage of being compatible with many configurations (straight, turning or spiral staircases).

Tronsole® This offers the prefabricator the possibility of producing ready-to-use stairs with integrated acoustic insulation, reducing the need for on-site intervention and increasing the value of real estate.

A cross-functional solution with Signo®, the permanent formwork for an impeccable finish

Among the Schöck solutions that can be suitable for multiple prefabrication applications, Signo® stands out as a versatile lost formwork, easy to integrate into the edges of pre-slabs, beams, balconies, or even walls. Integrated directly in the factory, Signo®replaces traditional formwork, thus saving considerable time. In addition to an impeccable finish of the slab edges with a smooth and uniform facing, this Schöck solution allows for easier handling thanks to its lightness, while reducing production costs.

Ycone Tower in Lyon

Plattard used over 300 linear meters of beams incorporating Signo formwork for the Ycone Tower in Lyon, a project designed by Jean Nouvel. Standing 64 meters tall, this tower houses 92 residential units, 660 m² of retail space, and features lightweight architecture thanks to a timber frame, a concrete facade clad in aluminum, and a double glazed skin.

Prefabrication greatly simplified the construction site. The beams are pre-formed in the factory with Signo formwork already integrated, ready to be installed and poured with the floor. Their hollow shape makes them lighter and easier to handle, and keying between beams is quick: simply cut the formwork to pour the nodes and column heads in one go.

Six different heights of Signo were used to adapt to the construction site configurations. The Signo 0DW models, without sealing joints, with a chamfered profile, provided an impeccable finish.

It should be noted that Schöck Signo formwork stands out for its resistance to bending (15-16 N/mm²), pressure (55-60 N/mm²), as well as frost and weathering. Another advantage: this solution generates no waste, either in the factory or on site. It also limits disturbances for local residents by reducing the noisy formwork and pouring phases on site.
