SFA: partner of the World Toilet Organization to promote access to toilets for all

Given that more than 2,4 billion people on earth live without toilets, SFA, the leading international group in the sanitary macerators market, has decided to make a commitment to the new edition of World Toilet Day on November 19 (recognized by the UN), by becoming a partner of the World Toilet Organization, a non-profit association working to improve the health and well-being of people around the world.

While improving sanitation has an undeniable impact on health and living conditions, it turns out that it has a definite influence on the economic growth of developing countries. A study by the UN and WHO has shown that each dollar invested in improving sanitation equipment generates, in return, an increase in productivity of up to $34... Halving the number of people without access to toilets with clean water by 2015 is one of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on health and poverty, set in 2000.

A brand recognized for the invention of the Sanibroyeur, SFA has been developing solutions since its creation to easily install a toilet anywhere without requiring major work. It is therefore legitimate for SFA to join forces with the World Toilet Organization and materialize this first partnership with a donation to equip 36 families with toilets in villages in the Kampong Chhnang countryside, near Phnom Penh in Cambodia. In fact, the World Toilet Organization association has created a social enterprise, Sanishop, where low-cost cement toilets are produced, made with local products and intended to offer a sustainable product.

A long-term partnership that SFA encourages people to follow and like on social networks in order to raise awareness among as many people as possible about this major global health issue.
