Jean-Charles Delplace is appointed Managing Director of SMIE

Paris, July 1, 2010 - The SMIE Board of Directors, chaired by Jean-Louis Olivier, has formalized the appointment of Jean-Charles Delplace to the position of Director General of SMIE.

Jean-Charles Delplace, 36 years old, began his career at Peugeot Cycles as a product manager. He then joined Dassault-Aviation in 1999, where he held various positions, including project manager and executive assistant, both in France and England, as part of an extensive partnership with the AFE foundry group. Jean-Charles Delplace then joined CETIM (Centre Technique des Industries Mécaniques) to develop the software business, notably with the company PI3C, participating in the chairmanship of its board of directors. Jean-Charles Delplace is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Nantes and has a dual Franco-English background.

The arrival of Jean-Charles Delplace at SMIE, anticipated for several months, is reflected today in the implementation of a strategic plan. Its objective is to develop the company's business by improving the quality of its services, both for its direct customers and for its distribution network. This new dynamic is already bearing fruit and is reflected in the development of innovative products that will be unveiled at the JDL on September 9 and 10 (Stand D17).
