Fixing systems for ITE
More and more new constructions and buildings undergoing renovation are strengthening their insulation with an additional insulating exterior envelope. This external thermal insulation allows for a better energy balance and reduces heating consumption.
Without creating thermal bridges, for greater energy savings
However, this insulation can sometimes cause thermal bridge problems around certain areas. Fischer, the fixing expert, offers FID anchors and Thermax fixings to fit into or through the exterior insulation without creating thermal bridges. Fischer's ITE anchoring solutions prevent heat loss and save energy without compromising the quality of the insulation. In addition, their very low thermal conductivity prevents thermal bridges.
For fixing lightweight elements such as mailboxes, outdoor lighting, etc. in coated and uncoated insulation panels (EPS, PU, etc.), fischer FID 50 and FID 90 anchors are ideal.
Their geometry allows for simple installation, without pre-drilling, in thin plaster, and their footprint ensures quick and easy installation with standard tools, which reduces installation time. The special spiral thread of the FID anchors screws into the insulation panel by form locking.
The FID 50 is fixed in thin insulation panels from 50 mm with a supported load of 5 to 9 kg and the FID 90 anchor is used in thicker panels and can support loads of 8 to 14 kg.
Thermax 8 and 10 anchors are perfect for fixing medium loads (up to 50 kg) such as rainwater downpipes, light fittings, alarm systems, etc., in all common materials (brick, aerated concrete, hollow concrete blocks, etc.). The offset mounting of the Thermax 8 and 10 allows the element to be fixed to the desired location, while avoiding marking or damaging the insulation. Used with the UX universal anchor, the Thermax 8 and 10 anchor securely in the support.
The Thermax 8 and 10 feature a nylon insulation cone that provides a reliable thermal break between the part to be fixed and the sealed part of the rod. Reinforced with fiberglass, this self-cutting nylon cone mills the coating directly into the insulating layer and allows for quick and easy installation without the need for special tools.
Thermax 12 and 16 anchors have been designed for anchoring heavy loads, up to 340 kg in concrete, such as blinds, air conditioners, satellite dishes, awnings, etc., on exterior walls with composite thermal insulation systems. This remote mounting system used with high-performance resins FIS HT, FIS V and FIS EM for high loads is approved for many construction materials (silico-lime brick, hollow concrete block, etc.) which guarantees a secure fixing.
These anchors can penetrate 60 to 170 mm of insulation without thermal bridging. They limit heat loss thanks to the high-performance nylon cone reinforced with fiberglass. The end of the cone is self-countersinking to better penetrate the plaster into the insulation layer. In the case of resistant plaster (e.g. thick cement), the use of a Thermax countersink (supplied) is recommended to cut the plaster. Finally, the use of a sealant between the cone and the plaster allows the facade to be sealed at the plaster level.
