TONALITY fits perfectly into the thermal challenge as an external insulation system

(ITE) and this ventilated facade system has many advantages: thermal insulation

saving around 25% energy, sound insulation, condensation prevention

interior, protection of the structural work, no thermal bridges, low humidity, low fluctuations in

temperatures in the supporting structure…

Simple installation systems, sources of savings

TONALITY single-skin tiles weigh less than 35 kg/m² and are applied to a structure

aluminum carrier. The whole thing is therefore very light and easy to handle.

In addition, ETERNIT has developed two installation systems to simplify assembly - staples

pre-fixed on the integrated and pre-assembled aluminum profiles and joints -, to save time and

guarantee the implementation of the ventilated facade according to the rules of the art, i.e.: an air gap of 2 cm

minimum, open at the top and bottom.

Installation is therefore particularly quick and saves labor.

Finally, the system allows very easy replacement of the tiles without having to dismantle the others

elements of the facade and a safety device prohibits the dismantling of the slabs if necessary.

Tiles designed to last

TONALITY tiles are made, without additives, from ultra-fine natural clay from

Westerwald. These slabs are therefore part of an HQE approach since they ensure good

acoustic and thermal insulation, while being made from a natural and rot-proof material, extracted

right next to the manufacturing plant.

Firing at over 1200°C, using ETERNIT's KERAL YS process, ensures the strength of the slabs

and gives them an extra smooth surface, without any defects. The TONALITY system also benefits

a technical opinion including consideration of the new seismic map.

This smooth, fine and very low-porosity surface also protects the facade from pollution, facilitates its

maintenance and allows the use of TONALITY in areas with extreme climatic conditions

(very low water absorption).

To deal with all situations, ETERNIT offers TONALITY anti-graffiti tiles,

available in 3 colors as standard and across the entire range to order. The permanent treatment

integrated protects the facade from vandalism and therefore optimizes its lifespan.
