Office space acoustics: real wood panels to forge the company's identity

Lignotrend acoustic panels boast optimal acoustic properties. But that's not the only strength of these innovative products from the Black Forest. They also impress with their quality and exceptional design. That's why companies across all sectors use them in their premises. Codecentric, an international IT development company, for example, gives its premises a unique and recognizable look thanks to the design of Ligno oak acoustic panels.

Codecentric is currently undertaking a major expansion and renovation of its facilities, entrusted to the Rotterdam architectural firm Dakowski and the interior designers Kemper & Düchting. In keeping with the new headquarters in Solingen, Germany, the other locations are being equipped in line with the company's visual identity.

Raw concrete in the spotlight

The new building in Solingen is a reinforced concrete structure. It is rectangular, approximately sixty meters long, with four floors and a two-story extension. Large windows provide ample light, which is reflected on the exposed concrete interior walls. The heating and air conditioning pipes were integrated directly into the reinforced concrete ceilings, which were also left in their raw state. Thanks to the temperature regulation of the concrete surfaces, they ensure even and pleasant heat distribution throughout the rooms.

Reverberant surfaces compensated by wood

With 0,90 employees, noise levels could quickly become a problem in this administrative building. The use of Ligno Acoustique Light effectively compensates for reverberant concrete or glass surfaces. When attached to the wall, the panels provide excellent noise reduction. Made entirely of real wood, they feature an integrated sound-absorbing layer made of natural wood fibers. It is possible to achieve aW absorption value of up to XNUMX. This result effectively meets various acoustic requirements. The reduction in noise level or resonance effect improves speech intelligibility.

More than acoustic efficiency

The central part of the open-plan office floors serves as a relaxation lounge, where employees can make phone calls or chat in peace over a coffee. As a "house-in-house," this area extends the entire length of the building and on all floors. The continuous wood cladding gives this part of the building a very material expression, visually highlighting it in relation to the overall structure.

The warm oak tone of the acoustic panels softens the harshness of the glass and concrete, creating a pleasant atmosphere—a characteristic shared by all Codecentric locations. Ligno Acoustique Light thus becomes a strong element of the company's identity, perfectly harmonizing with the colorful seating and soft carpets.

Optimized interior acoustics, exceptional design and strong visual identity of the company: Ligno Acoustique light is the right choice in three ways.
