Summary for decision-makers

The corporate foundation "A World for Children," created by Tryba, plays a vital role in supporting disadvantaged children in Southeast Asia, particularly in Vietnam. With a civic-minded approach, this initiative is dedicated to funding projects for orphaned or distressed children, partnering with the "Enfants d'Asie" association, which helps 10 children through 000 centers. The foundation, headed by Johannes Tryba, aims to mobilize employees around concrete social commitment and work toward the education of these young people. In 50, it strengthened its assistance by sending teams into the field to assess the impact of its actions and the critical needs on the ground.

Among the flagship projects supported by the foundation in Vietnam are school renovations, child shelters, and specific programs for girls' education and support for higher education. These initiatives aim not only to address the children's immediate needs, such as shelter and nutrition, but also to provide them with opportunities for a better future. The foundation is also involved in clothing collection initiatives, strengthening the solidarity and commitment of its employees towards these vulnerable young people.

Because a company isn't just about making a profit, Johannes Tryba decided to involve his employees in a humanitarian effort by creating a corporate foundation to help 10 children in Southeast Asia. Since 000, five projects have been implemented to facilitate the schooling of these children.

The actions of the Tryba Foundation “A World for Children” in Southeast Asia

"A World for Children" - The Tryba corporate foundation supports children in Southeast Asia

A market leader in window, door, and shutter renovation, Tryba created a corporate foundation, "A World for Children," in 2008. It supports "Enfants d'Asie," an association that helps 10.000 children, orphans or those in distress, in around fifty centers (children's villages, schools, homes, orphanages) in Southeast Asia.

In order to give work a civic dimension and mobilize his employees around a concrete social commitment, Johannes Tryba, President of the Atrya group, of which Tryba is a part, decided in June 2008 to create a corporate foundation. Its purpose is to work for the protection of disadvantaged children by supporting projects, both in France and abroad, initiated and carried out by the group's employees.

While affirming its commitment to supporting projects financially, the foundation sent a person to the field in 2009 to meet these children. On site, Mrs. Ingrid Tryba, the wife of the brand's creator and vice-president of the Foundation, was able to see the scale of the task at hand, the resources needed to achieve it, and the efforts made by the teams on the ground.
At the end of the first year of activity, thanks to the support and strong involvement of its employees, "A world for children" decided to increase its support for programs developed in Vietnam and managed by the "Enfants d'Asie" association.

FIVE PROJECTS SUPPORTED IN VIETNAM

Thus, five collective projects, all in favor of education, were able to be supported in Vietnam.

- Phu Hiep Primary School - Phu Hiep Primary School serves children from very poor ethnic minorities whose educational attainment is very low. Thanks to the Tryba Foundation's donation, 35 new children are benefiting from the educational support provided by the sisters (a meal, a snack, tutoring, and the opportunity to wash themselves).

- Dalat Home - this boarding school usually accommodated 50 children aged 6 to 18 from the countryside and from families living in extreme poverty (incomes of less than 20 euros per month). Thanks to the "A World for Children" Foundation, 10 additional children were able to be accommodated (accommodation, meals, studies).

- "Women's Advancement" in the Mekong Delta - Girls are the first victims of poverty, because the little money poor families have is primarily spent on educating boys. The "Women's Advancement" program provides young girls with a window into the future and professional integration.
In 2009, the Tryba Foundation helped reintegrate 240 girls into this program who had previously benefited from the support of Enfants d'Asie, but for whom the necessary funding was no longer available. Thanks to the Foundation, these 240 girls were able to continue their education normally.

- "The Student Foundation" - it had 80 students in 2008. Thanks to "A World for Children", 40 additional beneficiaries were able to enroll in 2009. The Student Foundation allows high school girls without financial means to pursue higher education.
- Thu Duc Daycare and Nursery - The daycare welcomes around fifty children aged 5 to 12. Educators supervise meals and provide educational activities. Since the sharp rise in rice prices in Vietnam, many families have found themselves in even more dire poverty. Many applications for daycare registration have been accepted thanks to the Tryba Foundation's contribution.
The nursery, for its part, already welcomes 10 babies, including 4 thanks to "A world for children".

Alongside these actions, Tryba employees organised a clothing collection at the end of 2009, which was distributed in Vietnam in January, during the traditional Tet festival.

About the "Children of Asia" association:

Enfants d'Asie also intervenes in emergency situations: welcoming street children, helping child victims of violence, and helping families.
