A prefabricated floor slab from Rector
In the La Cartoucherie district of Toulouse, real estate developer Carle is building a strikingly modern office building. The structural contractor BTPMP had only 10 weeks to complete the project. It therefore chose a construction system without load-bearing walls: Rector's prefabricated floor slab.
Unlike conventional pre-slabs, Rector's post-floor-slab system integrates all structural elements within the thickness of the floor. This allows for ceilings without any drop and makes the building modular and scalable, with partitions that can be reconfigured by the occupants.
In addition, the prefabricated floor slab made it possible to reduce the implementation time by 30% compared to a traditional construction system, and to only mobilize 10 men, compared to 15 to 20 normally.
Finally, the prefabricated system allows for reduced shoring and deliveries to be scheduled according to the progress of the construction site thanks to short, local supply chains and reduced transport times. Finally, it guarantees rapid and secure installation. CE/NF certified, the industrial process ensures industrialized production management, quality control and process safety, from design to implementation.
