The new Flowall XL pot: more large plants for more creativity

In its initial version, each Flowall® modular panel could accommodate sixteen plants. With this new pot, the Flowall® plant wall can accommodate larger, more voluminous plants. More specifically, the Flowall® XL pot offers two different sizes, multiplying all the decorative possibilities. Whether through the variety of plants that can now be installed or through their arrangement, the Flowall® XL version multiplies the pleasure of having a plant wall in your home.

The creators of Flowall® wanted to answer a question often asked by their customers: how to install large plants, or plants with a trailing habit in their wall arrangements?

The solution is the "XL" pot developed by Wattelez: it occupies the space of two or four irrigation points, offering in the latter case a capacity eight times greater than that of a standard pot.

So, three volumes of pots are now available:

- the first (91 cm3) accommodates plants that are easily found in small sizes such as, for example, Dracaenas, Aspleniums, Begonias or Syngoniums;

- the second (391 cm3) easily accommodates plants such as Pepperomias, Dieffenbachias, indoor vines (Cissus) or Philodendron Scandens;

- the third has a capacity of more than one litre (1104 cm3) to allow you to place Anthuriums, Ferns, Ficus, Chamaedoreas, Crotons and many other plants on the Flowall®, as desired.

More big plants for more greenery

Now, with these three different pot sizes, a wide variety of combinations are possible to fill the sixteen spaces available on each Flowall® modular panel. The standard pots and the two possibilities offered by the "XL" pot are completely complementary. It is now possible to play with the volumes of foliage as well as their colors and shapes (for example, with Tradescantias or Misère with their very varied foliage). And why not use different sizes of the same variety to create relief effects, or even suggest movement by exploiting the shape of the stems and leaves? Fans of plant creations, complete freedom is thus offered to you.

Remember that in the Flowall® system, the roots develop more in the felt than in the growing medium, contained in the pots supplied with each kit.

Although the potting soil plays a secondary role in feeding the plant, it remains necessary to ensure its correct positioning.

More purified air!

Another particularly interesting aspect of Flowall® modular panels lies in the depollution power of plants. Several studies have confirmed that plants do much more than recycle carbon dioxide: they are capable of purifying the air of many household pollutants, such as organic compounds, benzene, trichloroethylene, formaldehyde, and other fumes.

The choice between several pot sizes provides more flexibility in the choice of plants based on their “depolluting” power, some being more difficult to find in small sizes.

With these recent developments, the Flowall® modular system, created and patented by the Wattelez company, is a set of 40 x 42 cm panels delivered in kit form, allowing everyone to create a green wall very simply and easily arrange the many plants you like without them reducing your living space.
